Ebbi
ADHD-oriented day planner and focus timer with labeled breaks
What is Ebbi?
Ebbi is a phone app that turns a list of tasks and time estimates into a timed plan for the day, with named breaks between blocks of work. A focus session then runs one task at a time with a countdown, optional soundscapes and a finish time that recalculates when a task runs over. It is made for adults with ADHD, has no streaks or overdue labels, and keeps its data on the device.
Ebbi has a free plan. Paid plans start at $47.99 per year (about $4 per month), or $7.99 billed monthly. See every plan
Good for
- Adults with ADHD who want a day plan and a focus timer in one app
- People who misjudge how long tasks will take
- Focus sessions with background noise or lo-fi sound
Worth knowing
- The free plan allows 2 focus sessions per day and 5 tasks per session, and keeps 7 days of session history.
- The widget, Live Activity, scheduled sessions, weekly and monthly stats and 10 of the 13 soundscapes need Pro.
- The site offers downloads for iPhone and Android only, with no web or desktop version.
- The site describes no calendar sync or integrations with other task apps.
Key features
- Day plan from tasks and estimates
- Type tasks with time estimates, or paste a whole list, and Ebbi lays them out in order with a start time on each task and a finish time for the whole plan.
- Auto-split tasks and labeled breaks
- Tasks of 25 minutes or more are split into shorter blocks with short resets between them. Resets can be named, such as a walk or the laundry, and the number of blocks changed.
- Live finish time
- During a session the projected finish time updates as minutes are added or removed or the timer is paused, and the rest of the schedule recalculates.
- Focus soundscapes
- 13 soundscapes include white, pink and brown noise, rain, ocean waves and lo-fi music. Silence, white noise and lo-fi are free; the other ten need Pro.
- Progress and estimate accuracy
- Today's completed and skipped sessions are shown on the free plan. Pro adds weekly and monthly views and compares planned time with how long tasks actually ran.
- On-device data
- The app works without an internet connection and the vendor runs no servers that hold user content. On Apple devices, sessions sync through the user's own iCloud account.
