Part 01 · Overview
Welcome
What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first
3.0
GPA, above 64 of the 79 other project management tools we grade
GoodDay is a work management platform from Createch Group that arranges projects and tasks in a hierarchy of any depth and shows them in more than 20 views, including list, board, table, calendar and Gantt. Paid plans add time tracking, automations and custom fields, and the Business plan adds resource planning, a finance module, a CRM and AI chat and agents. A free plan covers up to 15 members.
To get you started, here are 9 things to know about GoodDay, taken from its own pages and our grades.
- 1
Best for free project tracking for up to 15 people
GoodDay is a project tool with projects nested to any depth, more than 20 views and a free plan for up to 15 people.
- 2
Paid plans start at $4 a month for each person
As its pricing page puts it: $4 per user / month, billed annually.
- 3
There is a free plan
Up to 15 members, unlimited projects and tasks, 1 GB of storage, dashboards, custom workflows, custom views, 100+ templates, and mobile and desktop apps.
- 4

- 5
More than 20 views
Work can be shown as a list, board, table, calendar, timeline, portfolio or whiteboard, among others. Gantt and map views start at the Professional plan.
- 6
Unlimited project hierarchy
Projects nest inside one another without a depth limit, and a single task can belong to several projects. Both are included on every plan.
- 7
Action Required
Alongside the usual assignee, each task names the team member responsible for the next action, which makes hand-offs and bottlenecks visible.
- 8
A 3.0 GPA, above 64 of 79
That is against the other project management tools we grade, on value, the free plan, features, ease of use and platforms.
- 9
Keep it
To replace GoodDay you would be making connections to other products, each kept working as those products change. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.

The report card
Best for free project tracking for up to 15 people
GoodDay is a project tool with projects nested to any depth, more than 20 views and a free plan for up to 15 people. Paid starts at $4 a user a month billed annually. But Professional needs 5 users and Business 15, free storage is 1 GB with no time tracking or Gantt, single sign-on is quote-only Enterprise, and there's no free trial of either paid plan.
| Subject | Grade | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | B | Professional is $4 a user a month billed annually, $6 monthly, which sits in the cheapest quarter of this category, and Business is $7, still under the middle. Small teams can take a flat package instead: $299 a year for 10 users on Professional, $399 for 15. |
| Free plan and trial | B | Free for up to 15 members with unlimited projects and tasks, dashboards, custom workflows and the mobile and desktop apps. Storage is 1 GB, though, and there's no time tracking, no Gantt, no automations and no custom fields. |
| Features | B | More than 20 views, projects nested without a depth limit, tasks that sit in several projects at once, and each task naming who owes the next action. Time tracking, Gantt and automations come with Professional, resource planning, finance, a CRM and AI agents with Business. |
| Ease of use | C | No store rating on record. With 20-odd views and nesting that never bottoms out, this is a tool you have to shape before it's tidy, and the 100+ templates are there because you'll want a head start. |
| Platforms and integrations | A | Web, Mac, Windows, Linux, iPhone and Android. It connects to Slack, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Gmail, Dropbox, Box, GitHub and GitLab, with the API, webhooks and Zapier from Professional. |
An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.
Who GoodDay is for
- Fits if you're a team of up to 15 that wants to stay on a free plan
- Works for projects that have sub-projects inside sub-projects
Who it is not for
- Skip it if you want to try the paid features first, as the pricing page lists no free trial
- Tight if you're staying free: 1 GB of storage and no Gantt views, time tracking, automations or custom fields
- Tight if you're one or two people, as Professional is sold for 5 to 250 users
- Not for you if you're under 15 people and want resource planning, finance, the CRM or AI, since Business starts at 15 users
- Pricey if you need single sign-on or custom roles, which are Enterprise only, from 25 users and priced by quote

Keep it, or make your own?
Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.
Keep it
To replace GoodDay you would be making connections to other products, each kept working as those products change. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.
It is one of the better ones too: its GPA of 3.0 is higher than 64 of the 79 other project management tools we grade. It costs $48 a year.
What you could make
- Kanban boards, Gantt & timelines, tasks, time tracking and templates: an app builder makes these well.
What you could not
- Connections to other products, each kept working as those products change.
- Apps for macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS and Android that stay in step with each other.
- It is priced for each person, which means accounts and billing for a team.
- The depth: we grade its features B, which means it covers the whole job.
What this rests on. GoodDay’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
