Part 01 · Overview

Welcome

What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first

2.2

GPA, above 4 of the 48 other CRM tools we grade

Dynamics 365 Sales is Microsoft's CRM for sales teams, covering sales force automation, forecasting, reporting and customization through Power Platform. Copilot and prebuilt sales agents add AI summaries, email drafting and lead research, and the product is closely tied to Outlook, Teams and the rest of Microsoft 365. It is sold per user in Professional, Enterprise and Premium plans, paid yearly.

To get you started, here are 9 things to know about Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales, taken from its own pages and our grades.

  1. 1

Best for sales teams that live in Outlook and Teams

Agents also run on Copilot Credits, which cost extra.

  2. 2

Paid plans start at $65 a month for each person

As its pricing page puts it: $65 per user / month, paid yearly.

  3. 3

  4. 4

    It runs on 3 platforms

    Web, iOS and Android.

  5. 5

Every plan includes core sales force automation with reporting and dashboards. Sales Enterprise adds advanced sales force automation and custom apps.

  6. 6

Copilot in Sales, Outlook and Teams

Copilot answers natural-language questions about the pipeline, drafts emails and writes opportunity and meeting summaries. It is included from Sales Enterprise, not Professional.

  7. 7

    Sales agents

Prebuilt agents qualify leads, research opportunities and analyze deals, and custom agents can be built in Copilot Studio. Agents consume Copilot Credits.

  8. 8

    A 2.2 GPA, above 4 of 48

  9. 9

    Keep it

To replace Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales you would be making an AI agent, with the models and the safeguards behind it. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.

The report card

Best for sales teams that live in Outlook and Teams

Dynamics 365 Sales is Microsoft's CRM, tied into Outlook, Teams and Excel, with forecasting, custom apps through Power Platform and, on dearer plans, Copilot and sales agents. It starts at $65 a user paid yearly, with no free plan, and that entry plan has no Copilot, no custom apps and limited customizing. Agents also run on Copilot Credits, which cost extra.

ToolGPA report cardMicrosoft Dynamics 365 SalesGraded Oct 10, 2026
SubjectGradeComment
Value for moneyDSales Professional is $65 a user a month, paid yearly, which is exactly where the dearest tenth of CRMs here begins, against a middle of $24. And that plan has limited customising and no Copilot: the AI starts on Enterprise at $105, and Premium is $150.
Free plan and trialCNo free plan at all. You get a 30-day trial, which is longer than most CRMs give, and our listing can't say whether it asks for a card. Either way you're choosing a yearly commitment at the end of it.
FeaturesBSales force automation, forecasting, dashboards, Copilot that drafts emails and sums up deals, prebuilt agents that qualify leads, and custom apps through Power Platform. It covers the job, but Copilot, custom apps and conversation intelligence all skip the Professional plan you start on.
Ease of useC4.3 from about 850 App Store ratings, below our bar for a B. Being tied to Outlook and Teams helps if that's where your team already works, but Power Platform and Copilot Credits are their own learning job.
Platforms and integrationsBWeb, iPhone and Android, with the phone app included on every plan and no desktop app. It plugs into Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, Excel, Power Platform and LinkedIn Sales Navigator. Notice that list is nearly all Microsoft, mind.
Grade point averageFair, out of 4.02.2

An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.

  • Skip it if you want to pay month by month, as every listed price is paid yearly
  • Not for you if you don't run on Microsoft, because nearly every listed integration is Microsoft's own
  • Watch out: agents run on Copilot Credits, with 1,000 a user a month on Premium and extra ones billed through Azure
  • Pricey if you want LinkedIn Sales Navigator bundled, as Relationship Sales has a 10-seat minimum and no public price

Keep it, or make your own?

Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.

Keep it

To replace Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales you would be making an AI agent, with the models and the safeguards behind it. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.

That makes this kind of software worth paying for, not this one in particular: 30 of the 48 other CRM tools grade higher. It costs $780 a year.

What you could make

  • Sales pipeline and reports: an app builder makes these well.

What you could not

  • An AI agent, with the models and the safeguards behind it.
  • Connections to other products, each kept working as those products change.
  • A real app for iOS and Android. Something home-made would be a web page.
  • It is priced for each person, which means accounts and billing for a team.
  • The depth: we grade its features B, which means it covers the whole job.

What this rests on. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
