Part 01 · Overview
Welcome
What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first
2.6
GPA, above 7 of the 13 other e-signature and proposal tools we grade
Signeasy is an e-signature app for sending contracts, signing them on a phone or computer and keeping the signed copies in one repository. Business plans add shared templates, reminders and AI that pulls out key terms and summarizes contracts, and Business Pro adds approval workflows, roles and SharePoint and HubSpot links. A separate contract management product adds renewal tracking and AI search.
To get you started, here are 9 things to know about Signeasy, taken from its own pages and our grades.
Signing on your phone is the heart of it.
- 1
Best for signing contracts from your phone
Business adds unlimited sends, shared templates and AI contract summaries.
- 2
Paid plans start at $10 a month
As its pricing page puts it: $10 per month, billed yearly ($15 billed monthly).
- 3
You can try it first
14-day free trial
- 4
It runs on 3 platforms
Web, iOS and Android.
- 5
Sign and send anywhere
Sign or send from the web or from iPhone, iPad and Android apps, including in-person signing and offline signing.
- 6
Templates and signing links
Save reusable templates, share them with the team from the Business plan, and create shareable links for signing.
- 7
AI key terms and summaries
From Business, AI extracts key terms from a contract and writes a short summary of it.
- 8
A 2.6 GPA, above 7 of 13
That is against the other e-signature and proposal tools we grade, on value, the free plan, features, ease of use and platforms.
- 9
Keep it
To replace Signeasy you would be making connections to other products, each kept working as those products change. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.

The report card
Best for signing contracts from your phone
Signeasy is built around its phone apps, rated 4.9 by about 34,000 people, and it sits neatly inside Gmail, Google Docs, Outlook and Teams. Business adds unlimited sends, shared templates and AI contract summaries. For three people that's $60 a month billed yearly, though, and bulk send is sold only through sales.
| Subject | Grade | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | C | $60 a month for three on Business, billed yearly ($20 a seat, $30 monthly). That's past this category's dearer quarter, if short of the dearest tenth. Personal at $10 is one user and only 5 sends a month, so a team has to start at Business. |
| Free plan and trial | C | No free plan, but a 14-day free trial, and the listing doesn't say it needs a card. The 100-day money-back guarantee on yearly plans is nice, but it isn't a trial. |
| Features | C | Unlimited sends, shared templates, signing links, reminders, AI key terms and summaries, in-person and offline signing, and approvals on Business Pro. The gaps: bulk send, SSO and HIPAA are sold only through sales, and sending by SMS is a paid add-on. |
| Ease of use | A | 4.9 from about 34,000 App Store ratings, among the best in this category. Signing on your phone is the heart of it. |
| Platforms and integrations | B | Web, iPhone, iPad and Android, with Gmail, Google Docs and Sheets, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and HubSpot. The API costs extra per document, and there's no desktop app, so it's a B. |
An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.
Who Signeasy is for
- Great if most of your signing happens on a phone or tablet
- Handy when your team works in Gmail or Outlook all day
- Good for teams that want a short AI summary of each contract
Who it is not for
- Pricey if you're a team, as a seat is $20 a month even billed yearly
- Tight if you're on Personal, which sends only 5 contracts a month
- Skip it if you need bulk send without talking to sales
Good to know
Good for
- People who sign and send contracts mostly from a phone or tablet
- Small teams working in Google Workspace or Microsoft 365
- Businesses that want AI summaries of their signed contracts
Worth knowing
- Personal is for one user and can send only 5 contracts a month for signature.
- SSO, HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11 and bulk send are sold through sales, not on the self-serve plans.
- Sending by SMS is a paid add-on, and the API is priced per document on top of the plans.
- The 100-day money-back guarantee covers yearly plans only.

Keep it, or make your own?
Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.
Keep it
To replace Signeasy you would be making connections to other products, each kept working as those products change. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.
It costs $120 a year.
What you could make
- Documents and templates: an app builder makes these well.
What you could not
- Connections to other products, each kept working as those products change.
- A real app for iOS and Android. Something home-made would be a web page.
- AI features, unless you pay a model provider for each request yourself.
- What a company asks for before it lets staff use something: roles and permissions.
What this rests on. Signeasy’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
