Part 01 · Overview
Welcome
What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first
2.2
GPA, above 1 of the 48 other AI meeting note takers we grade
Timeless records meetings on Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams, along with phone calls and in-person conversations, and turns them into transcripts, summaries and other documents. Meetings can be grouped into rooms for a customer or project, and a chat answers questions across the whole history. Agents and playbooks act on what was said, and an API, an MCP server and webhooks come with the Max and Business plans.
To get you started, here are 9 things to know about Timeless, taken from its own pages and our grades.
The desktop app spotting a call and offering to record is the easy part.
- 1
Best for meetings grouped by customer or project
There's no named phone app, just a QR code, and SSO waits for an unpriced Enterprise plan.
- 2
Paid plans start at $19 a month
As its pricing page puts it: $19 per month, billed annually ($29 billed monthly).
- 3
You can try it first
Free plan covers 5 AI meetings of up to 90 minutes each, with no credit card required
- 4
It runs on 3 platforms
Web, macOS and Windows.
- 5
Recording for calls and rooms
Timeless records Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams meetings, phone calls and in-person conversations. The desktop app notices when a call starts and offers to record, and a bot can be sent to a meeting.
- 6
Transcripts with speakers
Every word is transcribed with speaker identification, including conversations that switch between Hebrew and English. Meeting notes are available in more than 60 languages.
- 7
Rooms
A room holds the meetings, recordings and documents for one customer or project, so questions and new documents draw on all of them together.
- 8
A 2.2 GPA, above 1 of 48
That is against the other AI meeting note takers we grade, on value, the free plan, features, ease of use and platforms.
- 9
Keep it
To replace Timeless you would be making a bot that joins your calls and turns the talk into notes. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.

The report card
Best for meetings grouped by customer or project
Timeless records meetings, phone calls and in-person chats, groups them into rooms per customer or project, and answers questions across the whole history. It's dear: after 5 free meetings Pro is $19 a month on the yearly plan and $29 monthly, the API, MCP and webhooks need Max at $29, and Team needs at least 3 seats and still leaves them out. There's no named phone app, just a QR code, and SSO waits for an unpriced Enterprise plan.
| Subject | Grade | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | D | Pro is $19 a month billed yearly and $29 month to month, which puts its entry price in the dearest tenth of this category. The API, MCP server and webhooks you'd want with it mean Max at $29, and a team has to buy at least 3 Team seats at $25 each. |
| Free plan and trial | C | The Free plan is 5 AI meetings of up to 90 minutes each, no card needed, and the pricing page never says that allowance comes back each month. So treat it as a trial rather than a plan you could sit on. |
| Features | B | It covers the job: Zoom, Meet, Teams, phone calls and in-person chats all recorded, rooms that keep a customer's meetings together, a chat across your whole history, and playbooks that run when a call ends. The API, MCP server and webhooks are locked to Max and Business. |
| Ease of use | C | No store rating on record, and there's a bit to it: rooms to set up for each customer, playbooks to write, integrations to connect, and Max throws in an onboarding call. The desktop app spotting a call and offering to record is the easy part. |
| Platforms and integrations | B | Web, Mac and Windows, with 15+ integrations including Notion, Google Docs and Drive, an API, MCP server and webhooks on the top plans, and setup guides for Claude Code and Codex. The phone recorder is a QR code, with no App Store or Play app named. |
An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.
Who Timeless is for
- Fits if you want every meeting with a customer kept together and searchable in one room
- Works for people whose conversations switch between Hebrew and English
Who it is not for
- Pricey if you just want notes, at $19 a month on the yearly plan or $29 monthly
- Skip it if you want a free plan to live on: it's 5 meetings of 90 minutes, and nothing says that renews
- Tight if you're a team of two, as Team needs at least 3 seats at $25 and still leaves out the API, MCP and webhooks
- Watch out: the API, MCP server and webhooks need Max at $29 a month, and SSO waits for Enterprise at an unpublished price
- Not for you if you want a phone app, as the site offers a QR-code recorder but names no App Store or Google Play app
Good to know
Good for
- Teams that want meetings grouped by customer or project
- Developers connecting meeting history to Claude Code, Codex or their own tools
- Conversations that move between Hebrew and English
Worth knowing
- The Free plan covers 5 AI meetings of up to 90 minutes each; the pricing page does not say the allowance renews.
- API, MCP and webhook access are limited to Max for individuals and Business for teams; the Team plan leaves them out and needs at least 3 seats.
- SAML single sign-on and custom data retention policies are reserved for the custom-priced Enterprise plan.
- The site offers a phone recorder through a QR code but names no App Store or Google Play app; downloads are listed for macOS and Windows.

Keep it, or make your own?
Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.
Keep it
To replace Timeless you would be making a bot that joins your calls and turns the talk into notes. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.
That makes this kind of software worth paying for, not this one in particular: 36 of the 48 other AI meeting note takers grade higher. It costs $228 a year.
What you could not
- A bot that joins your calls and turns the talk into notes.
- An AI model, which you can rent by the request but not make.
- An AI agent, with the models and the safeguards behind it.
- Speech turned into text you can trust.
- Booking pages that read and write other people's calendars and send the emails.
- A real app for macOS and Windows. Something home-made would be a web page.
- It plugs into other products, Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams among them, and has an API.
- The depth: we grade its features B, which means it covers the whole job.
What this rests on. Timeless’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
