Part 01 · Overview

Welcome

What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first

2.4

GPA, above 2 of the 13 other website and product analytics tools we grade

Wingify, the platform formerly sold as VWO, is mainly a website testing tool: A/B, split URL and multivariate tests built in a visual or code editor. It also covers personalization, feature rollouts, heatmaps and session recordings, and an AI layer called Wingz that proposes and sets up tests. VWO agreed to merge with AB Tasty, and the combined platform is sold under the Wingify name on custom quotes.

To get you started, here are 8 things to know about Wingify, taken from its own pages and our grades.

  1. 1

    Best for A/B testing a website's pages

But there's no price anywhere, every plan is quoted by sales, and it has just agreed to merge with AB Tasty.

  2. 2

    You can try it first

Free trial account with most core products and a sample-data sandbox; length not stated

  3. 3

    It runs on Web

    Web.

  4. 4

A/B, split URL and multivariate tests

Unlimited experiments, variations and goals on every plan, built in a point-and-click visual editor or with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Multivariate and cross-domain tests start on Pro.

  5. 5

    Test statistics and guardrails

Multi-armed bandit and rollout campaigns on every plan; guardrail metrics and sample ratio mismatch checks from Pro, and mutually exclusive test groups on Enterprise.

  6. 6

    Heatmaps and session recordings

Behavior Analytics adds click and scroll heatmaps, session recordings, form analytics and rage-click filters, with sensitive fields masked automatically.

  7. 7

    A 2.4 GPA, above 2 of 13

That is against the other website and product analytics tools we grade, on value, the free plan, features, ease of use and platforms.

  8. 8

Nothing Wingify does is plain enough to make in a weekend. The 5 things listed below take a company.

The report card

Best for A/B testing a website's pages

Wingify, the platform once sold as VWO, is mainly for testing website changes: A/B, split URL and multivariate tests built in a visual editor, plus heatmaps, recordings and personalization. It's a proper testing tool. But there's no price anywhere, every plan is quoted by sales, and it has just agreed to merge with AB Tasty.

ToolGPA report cardWingifyGraded Oct 18, 2026
SubjectGradeComment
Value for moneyCNo published figure for this size, or any size. Growth, Pro and Enterprise are all quoted by sales from monthly active users, or tracked users for Behavior Analytics. Contentsquare, PostHog and Amplitude, listed beside it, publish prices. This doesn't, so it sits at C.
Free plan and trialCNo free plan, but there's a free trial account with most core products and a sandbox full of sample data. How long it lasts isn't stated, and nothing on record says it needs a card.
FeaturesBUnlimited A/B, split URL and multivariate tests, bandits, guardrail metrics, heatmaps, recordings, form analytics, personalization and feature rollouts. Graded against the tools it's listed beside, it covers the whole testing job. Multivariate tests start on Pro.
Ease of useCNo rating on record. The visual editor lets you change a page without code, but planning tests and reading the statistics takes learning, and paid plans start with a demo.
Platforms and integrationsBWeb only, with no desktop or phone app. It works with Google Analytics 4, Tag Manager, Shopify, WordPress, Salesforce, HubSpot, Segment and Mixpanel, though API access is Enterprise only.
Grade point averageFair, out of 4.02.4

An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.

Who Wingify is for

  • Great if your growth team runs website tests every week
  • Handy when you want to test product and checkout pages on an online shop
  • Good for teams that want tests and visitor recordings from one vendor

Who it is not for

  • Skip it if you want to see a price before talking to sales
  • Not for you if you just want recordings and heatmaps, which free tools cover
  • Tight if you need SSO or the API, which are Enterprise features

Good to know

Good for

  • Marketing and growth teams running regular website tests
  • Online shops testing product and checkout pages
  • Teams that want testing and visitor recordings from one vendor

Worth knowing

  • No prices are published: every plan (Growth, Pro, Enterprise) is quoted by sales, based on monthly active users or, for Behavior Analytics, monthly tracked users.
  • Session recordings and heatmap data are kept 30 days on Growth, 60 on Pro and 90 on Enterprise; other data is kept 13 months.
  • Single sign-on, API access, approval workflows and self-hosting of the test script are Enterprise features.
  • VWO and AB Tasty agreed to merge in 2026; existing contracts and pricing stay unchanged, according to the announcement.

Part 04 · Standing

Where it stands

Its grades against its category, and whether to keep it or make your own

2/13

Other website and product analytics tools it is graded above

Wingify's GPA of 2.4 is higher than 2 of the 13 other website and product analytics tools we grade, and level with 4.

It stands best on features (B, above 4 of 13) and worst on ease of use (C, above 0).

Every bar is all 14 website and product analytics tools we grade, cut by the letter each got. Wingify’s own letter is outlined.

Keep it, or make your own?

Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.

Keep it

Nothing Wingify does is plain enough to make in a weekend. The 5 things listed below take a company.

That makes this kind of software worth paying for, not this one in particular: 7 of the 13 other website and product analytics tools grade higher.

What you could not

  • Splitting visitors between versions and telling you which won.
  • Recordings of what each visitor did on your pages.
  • It plugs into other products, Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager and Shopify among them, and has an API.
  • AI features, unless you pay a model provider for each request yourself.
  • The depth: we grade its features B, which means it covers the whole job.

What this rests on. Wingify’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
