How we grade them
| 3.0GPAAmplitudeVery good | 2.4GPAWingifyFair | |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | AA site with 10,000 visitors a month fits easily in the free plan's 2M events, so the figure here is $0, with unlimited seats and 10,000 replays included. Past 2M you move to Plus, $900 a year for up to 3M events. | CNo published figure for this size, or any size. Growth, Pro and Enterprise are all quoted by sales from monthly active users, or tracked users for Behavior Analytics. Contentsquare, PostHog and Amplitude, listed beside it, publish prices. This doesn't, so it sits at C. |
| Free plan and trial | BFree with no time limit and no card: 2M events, unlimited seats and 10,000 replays a month. You'll feel the edges, though. Only 10 saved charts, 1 experiment and 1 guide or survey live at once, and 1 year of data. | CNo free plan, but there's a free trial account with most core products and a sandbox full of sample data. How long it lasts isn't stated, and nothing on record says it needs a card. |
| Features | BFunnels, retention, cohorts, replays, feature flags, web A/B tests, in-app guides and surveys, all from one vendor. That's the whole product analytics job and then some. Experiment results and SSO need Growth, though, which is sold through sales. | BUnlimited A/B, split URL and multivariate tests, bandits, guardrail metrics, heatmaps, recordings, form analytics, personalization and feature rollouts. Graded against the tools it's listed beside, it covers the whole testing job. Multivariate tests start on Pro. |
| Ease of use | CNo rating on record. Autocapture gets data flowing, but useful funnels and cohorts mean planning your events and learning how the charts work. The AI agents on every plan help with the asking. | CNo rating on record. The visual editor lets you change a page without code, but planning tests and reading the statistics takes learning, and paid plans start with a demo. |
| Platforms and integrations | BWeb only, with no desktop or phone app, which keeps it off an A. It connects to Segment, Braze, HubSpot, Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Google Ads and Slack, and an MCP server lets Claude and Cursor query your data. | BWeb only, with no desktop or phone app. It works with Google Analytics 4, Tag Manager, Shopify, WordPress, Salesforce, HubSpot, Segment and Mixpanel, though API access is Enterprise only. |
| Best for | product analytics that stays free for a long while | A/B testing a website's pages |

Worth knowing
Amplitude
- Plus has no price list in text: it is free to 2M events a month, then billed by volume, and the pricing page's chart is the only published figure.
- Experiment results, A/B/n testing for feature flags and SSO start on Growth, which is priced through sales.
- Session replays are kept for 1 month on every plan; longer retention is an add-on for Growth and Enterprise.
- Free keeps 1 year of data and 10 saved charts; Plus keeps 2 years.
Wingify
- No prices are published: every plan (Growth, Pro, Enterprise) is quoted by sales, based on monthly active users or, for Behavior Analytics, monthly tracked users.
- Session recordings and heatmap data are kept 30 days on Growth, 60 on Pro and 90 on Enterprise; other data is kept 13 months.
- Single sign-on, API access, approval workflows and self-hosting of the test script are Enterprise features.
- VWO and AB Tasty agreed to merge in 2026; existing contracts and pricing stay unchanged, according to the announcement.
