Worth knowing

Bearable

  • No web or desktop version: the support site says Bearable is only available on mobile and tablet devices.
  • Built for one device at a time; the vendor warns that staying logged in on two devices can cause data conflicts and data loss.
  • Correlation reports in the Impacts tab, report ranges beyond 30 days and unlimited goals and experiments need Premium.
  • No lifetime purchase is offered, and the site does not publish the price of the monthly subscription.

How We Feel

  • Phone only: the App Store listing says it is only for iPhone, alongside the Android app; no iPad, Mac or web version is listed.
  • The App Store listing gives English and Spanish as the only languages.

  • The vendor describes it as a wellbeing journal, not a replacement for therapy or professional care.

Key features

Bearable

Daily health check-in
Rate mood, energy, sleep and symptom severity in a few taps and add notes. Symptoms, emotions and scales are customizable, and the free plan puts no limit on how many you track.
Factors, medication and reminders
Log the things that might affect your health, such as medication, food, activities, weather and significant events, with reminders for doses and entries.
Trends and correlation reports
Free accounts get trend reports and a comparison graph for the past 30 days. Premium adds the Impacts tab, a correlations grid and 60, 90 and 365-day ranges.
Goals and experiments
Goals help with building habits, and experiments test how one habit or treatment changes your health. Free accounts get a limited number; Premium makes both unlimited.
Health data sync
Imports metrics such as steps, sleep, heart rate and weight from Apple Health, Google Health Connect and Fitbit. The sync is read-only: Bearable does not write entries back.
Privacy and export
The vendor says health data is encrypted before it is backed up to its servers and is never sold. You can export everything to CSV or delete it from inside the app.

How We Feel

Mood Meter check-ins
Each check-in starts with choosing a word for how you feel from a color-coded grid of emotions split into quadrants, which is meant to build a more precise emotional vocabulary.
Tags, journal notes and photos
A check-in can carry tags, a written journal entry, photos and a body sensation map, so the situation around a feeling is kept with it.
Pattern analysis
An Analyze tab and a weekly review chart check-ins over time. On iPhone the app reads sleep, exercise and other health trends through HealthKit to set beside them.
Video regulation strategies
Step-by-step videos, some as short as a minute, are grouped under four themes: Change Your Thinking, Move Your Body, Be Mindful and Reach Out.
Sharing with friends
The Friends feature shares how you feel in real time with people you choose. Check-ins stay private unless you decide to share them.
On-device data
Data stays on the device unless you opt in to send an anonymized copy of your check-ins for research. The iOS app can sync to iCloud, and no account is required.
