Value for money
CLaunch is $20 a month billed yearly with 500 credits. Texting 1,000 customers needs 500 more at $0.04 each ($20), and Launch adds a $5 telecom fee, so about $45 a month. EZ Texting itself points lists over 500 to Boost at $60. Ordinary for this category.
CBasic is $21 a month billed yearly ($25 monthly) for 1 seat, 1 number and 500 credits, right at the dear end of what this category charges. Extra seats are $10 each, but they share the same credits, and 2,500 credits a month costs $84.
Free plan and trial
CNo free plan, just a 14-day free trial of Launch. Fine for a test campaign, then you're paying.
CA 14-day free trial, but a thin one: 25 credits on a temporary number, up to 10 contacts, and a "Salesmsg Trial:" watermark on outgoing texts. There's no free plan.
Features
CThe texting job done fully: keywords, QR codes, sign-up forms, mass and one-to-one texts, drip campaigns, a team inbox, text-to-pay links and RCS. But texting is one channel of this category, and it only works in the US and Canada.
CTexting is done fully, with a shared inbox, broadcasts, drips and AI agents, and calls get routing, recording and a power dialer. But it's built to sit beside a CRM rather than be your whole phone system, and every call minute burns the credits your texts need.
Ease of use
CNo App Store rating on record. Keywords and campaigns are simple enough, but there's a number to set up and a credit count to watch, since an MMS uses 3 credits.
A4.7 from 1,644 App Store ratings. You get a temporary number the moment you sign up and can start texting straight away.
Platforms and integrations
BWeb, iPhone and Android, with Zapier, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Constant Contact and an open API on every plan. Texts only reach the US and Canada, and there's no desktop app, which an A needs.
BWeb, iPhone and Android, with two-way HubSpot and Salesforce sync plus Pipedrive, ActiveCampaign, Keap, Calendly, Zapier and Slack. There's no desktop app, which keeps it off an A.

Worth knowing

EZ Texting

  • Plan credits cover 500 texts a month: an SMS uses 1 credit and an MMS 3. Extra credits cost $0.04 on Launch down to $0.03 on Scale.
  • Each plan includes one user; extra seats cost $10 a month each, and extra numbers carry their own fee.
  • Works only in the United States and Canada.
  • Launch adds a $5 monthly telecom fee, waived on higher plans; the FAQ says other carrier fees on 10-digit numbers are included in the plan.

Salesmsg

  • Texts and calls share one credit pool: an SMS uses 1, an MMS 2, a call minute 1 and a forwarded minute 2. AI texting agents add 2 per message, and plan credits do not roll over.
  • Extra seats cost $10 a month and extra numbers $5 a month; a US local number adds carrier 10DLC fees, including a $10 monthly campaign fee and $15 one-time verification.
  • Basic and Pro differ mainly in their credit tiers; Basic tops out at 7,500 credits a month, and more needs Pro or Enterprise.
  • The trial gives 25 credits on a temporary number, reaches up to 10 contacts, and adds a "Salesmsg Trial:" watermark to outgoing texts.
