How we grade them
| 2.8GPAKreaGood | 2.6GPARunwayGood | |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | ABasic is $5.25 a month on yearly billing ($9 monthly) for 5,000 units, under 60% of this category's cheaper quarter. That's about 64 Nano Banana 2 images or 20 Seedance 2.0 videos a month, plus upscaling to 22K. Veo and Kling need Pro at $21. | CStandard is $12 a month on yearly billing ($15 monthly) for 625 credits, about 52 seconds of Gen-4.5 or 78 Gen-4 images. Against its listed video rivals, Pika at $8, Firefly at $9.99 and Luma at $25, that's the middle. |
| Free plan and trial | C100 units a day, refilled daily, with the live canvas, image and 3D models, LoRA training on 50 images and 2K upscaling. Video is off, though, and Basic's own figures put a Nano Banana 2 image at about 78 units. | C125 credits once, which never refill, with a selection of models and 5GB of storage. At 12 credits a second that's about 10 seconds of Gen-4.5, then you pay. |
| Features | BIts own models plus Nano Banana, Seedance, Veo and Kling, a canvas that renders as you draw, editing, upscaling to 22K, LoRA training, a node editor, an agent, and plugins for Photoshop, Premiere, Resolve and Blender. Nothing core is missing. | BIts own Gen-4.5 next to Kling, Seedance and Nano Banana, Aleph 2.0 for editing real footage by describing the change, an agent that builds whole videos, music, effects and voice clones, plus plugins. The whole video job. |
| Ease of use | C4.49 from 689 App Store ratings, just under the 4.5 line. And with nodes, LoRAs, an agent and dozens of models, there's a fair bit to learn. | B4.5 from about 17,700 App Store ratings. The app itself is friendly, but working out what a month of credits buys takes some sums. |
| Platforms and integrations | BWeb and iPhone, plus plugins for Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve and Blender, an API and an MCP server. No Android or desktop app of its own. | BWeb, iPhone and Android, plugins for Premiere Pro, After Effects and Resolve, links to ChatGPT, Claude, Figma, Dropbox and Notion, and a developer API. No desktop app, which an A needs. |
| Best for | lots of models on a small budget | making and editing AI video |
