How we grade them
| 2.6GPAPikaGood | 2.4GPAPixVerseFair | |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | BStarter is $8 a month on yearly billing ($10 monthly) for 900 credits, about 7 five-second Seedance 2.5 clips or 112 Nano Banana 2 images. That's the cheapest start among its listed video rivals, Runway at $12 and Luma at $25, but there's no commercial license until Creator at $28. | CWeb plan prices couldn't be read, as the plan page answered our reader with a bot check. The iPhone app lists Elite at $5.99 a week or $49.99 a year and credit packs from $5, but with the web plans unknown, it stays a C. |
| Free plan and trial | FThe Free plan has 0 credits a month and only works with bought packs, at $25 for 1,500 credits. So nothing is free, and payments aren't refunded. | CThe apps are free to download with in-app purchases, and Android shows ads. How many free credits you get couldn't be read. |
| Features | BVideo Studio for up to 30-second multi-shot videos on Pika 2.5, Seedance and MiniMax, apps to extend, regrade and rework footage, image tools, saved characters, product shots and soundtracks matched to the action. The whole job. | BIts own V6 model makes 1080p video with sound, next to Seedance and MiniMax H3, plus effect templates, Modify Video, extending and 4K upscaling, lip sync, an agent, a node Canvas, a CLI and an API. The whole job. |
| Ease of use | A4.73 from about 4,300 App Store ratings, in the top band. Each tool does one thing, like Extend Video or Color Grade, so it's clear where to start. | CNo app-store rating on record. Templates make the first clip easy, but each regenerate is charged again, so trial and error isn't free. |
| Platforms and integrations | BWeb and iPhone, with ChatGPT and other agents through MCP and a separate developer API. No Android or desktop app, and top-up credits don't work in the iPhone app. | BWeb, iPhone and Android, plus a command-line tool and an API with webhooks. No desktop app, which an A needs. |
| Best for | short social clips with sound | template videos from your own photos |

- Makes anything from a short clip to a 30-second multi-shot video, using Pika 2.5, Seedance 2.5, MiniMax H3, Wan 3.0 or Gemini Omni.
- Editing apps for footage
- Extend Video adds frames to a clip, Color Grade changes its look, and Swap Anything and Motion Transfer rework existing video.
- Image Studio and Edit Image
- Generate images with models such as GPT Image 2.5, Nano Banana 2 and Seedream, then swap, remove or restyle parts of them.
- Characters and product shots
- Character Studio saves a character to reuse across creations, and Product Shot stages a product without a photoshoot.
- Pika Soundtrack and audio
- Soundtrack scores a clip with music, ambience and sound effects matched to the action; separate studios handle speech, music and SFX.

PixVerse
- PixVerse V6 and partner models
- PixVerse's own V6 model makes 1080p video with native audio; Seedance 2.5, MiniMax H3, Flux 3 and GPT Image 2.5 are also offered.
- Effect templates
- A template library turns a photo into a dance video, a transformation, a style-transfer clip or a miniature scene, with new trend templates arriving in app updates.
- Editing existing video
- Modify Video changes chosen parts of a clip from a reference, and tools extend a video, add transitions between frames, guide motion and upscale to 4K.
- Lip sync and audio
- Make a character speak typed dialogue or uploaded audio with lip sync, add generated sound effects, or build a music video in one step.
- Agent, Canvas and Marketing Hub
- Direct shots through conversation with the agent, map a workflow on a node-based Canvas, or turn a product image or URL into a video ad.
- CLI and API
- A command-line tool runs prompts and batches from a terminal, and the PixVerse API offers text-to-video, image-to-video, templates and webhooks.
