| Value for money | AThe US App Store lists Pro at $2.99, $6.99 and $7.99 a month and from $9.99 to $39.99 a year, or $99.99 once for life. Even the top yearly price is under half what a typical planner costs over a year. Prices change by region, and Structured publishes no price list. | BWe can't pin it down. The US App Store lists Premium at seven amounts from $4.99 to $79.99 without saying what period each covers, and the vendor's site has no prices. Lifetime is $119.99, more than a year of a typical planner. A B is where we put a price we can't read. |
| Free plan and trial | BFree for good, with the timeline, an inbox, subtasks, notes, notifications, widgets and sync. That's a real planner. But repeating tasks, calendar import, Reminders import and the AI all need Pro, and a day planner without your calendar in it is a tight deal. | BFree to download on every platform, with a 7-day trial of Premium. But the store listing only says some features require Premium, without naming them. So we can't tell you how far free goes. |
| Features | AOne timeline for tasks and events with day, week and month views, an inbox for things not yet scheduled, imports from Google Calendar, Outlook, Apple Reminders and Microsoft To Do, repeating tasks, Replan for the ones you missed, and an AI that drafts your day or scans a paper timetable. | AA split view where tasks become time blocks by dragging, intervals from 5 to 60 minutes, Schedule Shift for late days, rollover of unfinished tasks into free slots, a bucket for tasks with a date but no time, templates for routines, and calendar import and export. That's time blocking, fully. |
| Ease of use | A4.8 from about 167,000 App Store ratings, which is a huge crowd to keep happy. Your day is a single coloured line you read top to bottom. No manual needed for that. | A4.6 from about 1,900 App Store ratings. Everything is drag and drop: pull a task into a slot, stretch it if it'll take longer, drag it back to the list if it won't happen today. |
| Platforms and integrations | AiPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Android and a web app, kept in step by Structured Cloud. It pulls in Google Calendar, Outlook, Apple Reminders and Microsoft To Do. No Windows app, and the web version doesn't have every feature of the phone apps yet. | AiPhone, iPad, Mac, Android, Windows and the web. It imports from Apple Calendar, Google and Outlook and sends its schedule back. Two-way Apple Reminders sync and the Apple Watch app show only on the App Store listing, not the Google Play one. |
| Best for | seeing your whole day on one timeline | dragging your to-do list into time slots |

Worth knowing
Structured
- The vendor publishes no price list. Pro pricing depends on region and currency and is shown in the app or app store.

- There is no Windows app. Structured Web runs in a browser but does not yet have every feature of the mobile apps.
- Structured Web needs an internet connection and a Structured Cloud sync account.
TimeFinder
- The vendor's site publishes no prices. The US App Store lists Premium at seven amounts from $4.99 to $79.99 without billing periods.

- Two-way Apple Reminders sync and the Apple Watch app appear only on the App Store listing, not on the Google Play one.
Key features
Structured
- Visual timeline
- Tasks and imported calendar events appear on one timeline for the day, with daily, weekly and monthly views and color coding.
- Inbox, subtasks and notes
- Tasks can wait in an inbox until they are scheduled, and carry subtasks, notes, icons and notifications. All of this is in the free version.
- Calendar and Reminders import
- Brings in events from Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook and to-do lists from Apple Reminders and Microsoft To Do. Requires Structured Pro.
- Recurring tasks and Replan
- Repeat tasks on a schedule, and use Replan to move missed tasks onto another day. Both are Pro features.
- Structured AI
- Drafts a daily schedule and can scan a physical planner or timetable into the timeline. Requires Structured Pro.
- Sync across devices
- Structured Cloud sync shares data and Pro access between Apple devices, Android and the web app, and the Apple Watch app shows the schedule on your wrist.
TimeFinder
- Split view with drag and drop
- Task lists and the schedule sit side by side, and a task becomes a time block when it is dragged into a slot. It can be dragged back to a list the same way.
- Flexible time blocks
- The day can be planned in 5, 10, 15, 30 or 60-minute intervals, and blocks are stretched, shrunk and rearranged by dragging.
- Schedule Shift and task rollover
- Schedule Shift moves tasks earlier or later in one tap when the day runs late, and rollover carries unfinished tasks into available time slots.
- Task bucket
- A task can be committed to a date without being tied to a time slot, then placed on the schedule once the day takes shape.
- Calendar and Reminders sync
- Imports events from Apple Calendar, Google and Outlook and exports the TimeFinder schedule back. The Apple apps also sync both ways with Apple Reminders.
- Schedule templates and color palettes
- Routines can be saved as templates and reapplied. Task labels remember their colors, and palettes can be chosen from presets or built in a palette editor.
