Part 01 · Overview
Welcome
What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first
2.2
GPA, above 4 of the 11 other ad creative and reporting tools we grade
Birch, formerly Revealbot, reports on and automates ad accounts on Meta, Google, TikTok and Snapchat. Rules checked as often as every 15 minutes pause, scale or adjust ads by conditions you set, and Birch AI can build a rule from a plain sentence. Explorer ranks creatives and spots tired ads, and Launcher and Stage build ads in bulk from your own media. It does not design ads. Prices follow your monthly ad spend.
To get you started, here are 9 things to know about Birch, taken from its own pages and our grades.
- 1
Best for rules that pause and scale ads for you
You can even describe a rule in a sentence.
- 2
Paid plans start at $0.83 a month when paid by the year
As its pricing page puts it: $45 per month up to $10K ad spend, billed annually ($49 billed monthly).
- 3
You can try it first
14-day free trial of all features, no credit card required
- 4
It runs on Web
Web.
- 5
Automated rules
Nested conditions and 20+ actions across Meta, Google, TikTok and Snapchat, checked as often as every 15 minutes, with custom metrics and AppsFlyer, Adjust or Hyros data.
- 6
Birch AI
Turns a sentence into a working rule using your business context, and answers questions about account health and where to scale.
- 7
Explorer
Ranks ads and creative groups by performance, flags creative fatigue and finds top assets, with Google Analytics and attribution data mixed in.
- 8
A 2.2 GPA, above 4 of 11
That is against the other ad creative and reporting tools we grade, on value, the free plan, features, ease of use and platforms.
- 9
Keep it
To replace Birch you would be making connections to other products, each kept working as those products change. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.

The report card
Best for rules that pause and scale ads for you
Birch, which used to be Revealbot, watches your ad accounts and acts on rules you set, pausing, scaling or adjusting ads as often as every 15 minutes. You can even describe a rule in a sentence. Pro, the plan with rules, is $91 a month billed annually up to $10K of spend, and it doesn't design ads.
| Subject | Grade | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | C | Graded against the reporting tools it's listed with. Up to $10K of monthly ad spend, Pro, the plan with rules, is $91 a month billed annually ($99 monthly), about level with Madgicx and under Superads and Atria at that spend. Essential is $45 but has no rules. Annual billing also drops the overage fees. |
| Free plan and trial | C | No free plan, but a 14-day trial of every feature with no card. When it ends, your rules and reports switch off until you pick a plan. |
| Features | C | Rules with nested conditions across Meta, Google, TikTok and Snapchat, AI that writes rules from a sentence, creative rankings and bulk launching. It does that job fully, but it's a narrower job: it doesn't make ads or track rivals', and rules need Pro. |
| Ease of use | C | No rating on record. Birch AI can turn a sentence into a rule, which helps, but you still connect accounts and think through conditions before it does anything for you. |
| Platforms and integrations | B | Web only, with no apps. It runs rules on Meta, Google, TikTok and Snapchat ads, posts to Slack and Google Sheets, takes Google Analytics, AppsFlyer, Adjust and Hyros data, and has an MCP server. |
An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.
Who Birch is for
- Great if you check your ads all day and want rules to pause and scale them for you
- Handy when you run several Meta ad accounts and launch ads in bulk from Drive
- Good for app marketers who act on AppsFlyer, Adjust or Hyros numbers
Who it is not for
- Skip it if you need ads made for you, as it only manages ads you already run
- Tight if you pay monthly and your spend jumps, since overages of up to 1% apply
- Not for you if you want to study rivals' ads, which it doesn't do
Good to know
Good for
- Media buyers managing many Meta ad accounts by rules instead of by hand
- App and e-commerce teams that act on attribution data from AppsFlyer, Adjust or Hyros
- Agencies launching ads in bulk from Drive folders
Worth knowing
- Prices step up with combined monthly ad spend; monthly billing adds overages of up to 1% of spend above the limit, while annual billing has none.
- Automated rules, Explorer and the launch tools need Pro; Essential stops at $150K a month of ad spend.
- Hub, its server-side tracking for Meta, is priced separately per gateway: free to 10,000 events a month, then from $10 for 500,000.
- It manages and reports on ads you already run; it does not generate ad images or videos.

Keep it, or make your own?
Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.
Keep it

It costs $10 a year.
What you could make
- Reports: an app builder makes this well.
What you could not
- Connections to other products, each kept working as those products change.
- Connections that pull numbers from dozens of other services.
- AI features, unless you pay a model provider for each request yourself.
What this rests on. Birch’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
