Part 01 · Overview
Welcome
What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first
2.6
GPA, above 35 of the 69 other daily planner apps we grade
Taskito is a to-do app that lays the day out as a timeline, with tasks, reminders, notes and imported calendar events in one view. Its Agenda View is a clock-time layout where tasks are dragged into open slots to block out time. The Android, iPhone and iPad apps are free to start with limits on projects and repeating items; Premium lifts those limits and adds calendar import and the web app.
To get you started, here are 9 things to know about Taskito, taken from its own pages and our grades.
- 1
Best for a timeline planner for your phone
Taskito lays your day out as a timeline, with tasks, reminders, notes and calendar events in one view, and you drag tasks into open slots to block out time.
- 2
Paid plans start at $0.67 a month when paid by the year
As its pricing page puts it: $3.49 per month, or $7.99 to $19.99 per year (US App Store).
- 3
There is a free plan
Timeline planner and tasks, up to 3 projects, 3 repeating tasks and 3 repeating reminders, 1 reminder per task, and sync across 2 active devices.
- 4
It runs on 3 platforms
Web, iOS and Android.
- 5
Timeline and Agenda View
The day is shown as a timeline of tasks, reminders, notes and events. Agenda View adds a clock-time layout where tasks are dragged into open slots, then moved or resized.
- 6
Smart Parsing
Quick Add reads the date, time, priority and tag from one typed line, such as a dentist visit tomorrow at 2pm marked p2 with a Home tag.
- 7
Recurring tasks and reminders
Tasks repeat daily, weekly, monthly or on a custom rule, and reminders can be snoozed. The free plan allows 3 repeating tasks and 1 reminder per task.
- 8
A 2.6 GPA, above 35 of 69
That is against the other daily planner apps we grade, on value, the free plan, features, ease of use and platforms.

The report card
Best for a timeline planner for your phone
Taskito lays your day out as a timeline, with tasks, reminders, notes and calendar events in one view, and you drag tasks into open slots to block out time. Premium is $3.49 a month, or $7.99 to $19.99 a year on the US App Store. But the free plan stops at 3 projects and 3 repeats, calendar events are read-only, and the web app is Premium.
| Subject | Grade | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | A | Premium is $3.49 a month, and the yearly option is $7.99 to $19.99 on the US App Store, so somewhere between 67 cents and $1.67 a month. The cheapest quarter of planners starts at $3.99 a month, so this undercuts the lot, and Lifetime is $39.99 or $49.99. |
| Free plan and trial | C | Free gets you the timeline and tasks, then the walls arrive: 3 projects, 3 repeating tasks, 3 repeating reminders, 1 reminder per task and sync on 2 devices. Rent, the bins and the gym and your repeats are gone. |
| Features | C | The timeline, an Agenda View for dragging tasks into free slots, quick add that reads the date, time, priority and tag off one line, repeats and kanban boards. The basics. But the listing says calendar import is Premium, phone only and read-only, so the calendar half of a day planner is look-don't-touch. |
| Ease of use | C | No App Store rating on record. Typing "dentist tomorrow 2pm" saves you the date picker, but there's a Taskito account to sign into before the web app runs, and you can only upgrade from inside the mobile app or an app store, even when the web app is the bit you want. |
| Platforms and integrations | B | iPhone, iPad, Android and a browser, though the web app needs Premium. No desktop apps and no API on record. Events arrive through your phone's own calendar, which covers Google and Outlook if they're synced to it. |
An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.
Who Taskito is for
- Fits if you want tasks and events on one timeline of the day
- Works for planning on your phone by dragging tasks into free slots
Who it is not for
- Tight if you're staying free, because 3 projects, 3 repeating tasks and 2 synced devices go fast
- Skip it if you want to edit calendar events in your planner, as imported events are read-only
- Not for you if you plan mostly on a computer, since the web app is Premium and calendar import is mobile only
- Watch out: the site lists no prices, and the store shows three yearly amounts and two lifetime ones without saying why
- Watch out: you can only upgrade in the mobile app or an app store, and lifetime purchases can't be canceled like subscriptions
Good to know
Good for
- People who want tasks and events on a single day timeline
- Phone-first planners who block time by dragging tasks
- Buyers who prefer a lifetime purchase to a subscription
Worth knowing
- The free plan stops at 3 projects, 3 repeating tasks, 3 repeating reminders, 1 reminder per task and 2 synced devices.
- Taskito Web and calendar import are Premium features, and upgrading is done only through the mobile app or an app store.
- Calendar import is read-only and runs through the phone's system calendar; the download page says it is available only in the mobile apps.
- The vendor's site gives no prices and says they vary by store and region. The US App Store shows several amounts for the yearly and lifetime options.

Keep it, or make your own?
Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.
Your call
A daily planner at its plainest is today's tasks laid along a timeline.
You could make the core of Taskito for yourself: tasks, time blocking, calendar, natural-language input and kanban boards. What you would give up is listed below. Whether that is worth the price is your call. At $7.99 a year it costs less than the weekend it would take to replace, which is the argument for keeping it.
What you could make
- Tasks, time blocking, calendar, natural-language input and kanban boards: an app builder makes these well.
What you could not
- A real app for iOS and Android. Something home-made would be a web page.
What this rests on. Taskito’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
