Part 01 · Overview

Welcome

What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first

1.8

GPA, above 0 of the 48 other CRM tools we grade

Thryv sells software for local service businesses from Thryv, Inc., whose other brands include The Real Yellow Pages. Its Business Center keeps a customer database, scheduling and online booking, estimates and invoices, digital payments, documents, a client portal and email marketing in one account, with an app for iPhone and iPad. Thryv's marketing services, such as listings, websites and managed ads, are sold separately.

To get you started, here are 7 things to know about Thryv, taken from its own pages and our grades.

But we couldn't confirm a single price: it's sold after a demo, with an onboarding fee on top.
From our report card of Thryv
  1. 1

Best for local service businesses wanting one back office

That's handy if you run it all from an iPhone.

  2. 2

    It runs on 2 platforms

    Web and iOS.

  3. 3

    Customer database

Keep contacts and their history in one CRM, and sync contacts from a phone into Business Center.

  4. 4

    Scheduling and online booking

Customers book appointments online; staff schedule or accept them in real time and send reminders from the web or the mobile app.

  5. 5

    Estimates, invoices and payments

Send estimates and invoices on the go and take payments through ThryvPay, Stripe, PayPal or Square.

  6. 6

    A 1.8 GPA, above 0 of 48

That is against the other CRM tools we grade, on value, the free plan, features, ease of use and platforms.

  7. 7

    Keep it

To replace Thryv you would be making newsletters sent to thousands of people that still reach the inbox. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.

The report card

Best for local service businesses wanting one back office

Thryv's Business Center puts a local business's customers, bookings, estimates, invoices, payments and reviews in one account, from the company behind The Real Yellow Pages. That's handy if you run it all from an iPhone. But we couldn't confirm a single price: it's sold after a demo, with an onboarding fee on top.

ToolGPA report cardThryvGraded Oct 18, 2026
SubjectGradeComment
Value for moneyCNo price could be confirmed. Thryv's site turned our reader away, and Business Center is sold after a demo with a one-time onboarding fee. The plans on its pricing page are its marketing services, not this software. With no figure it sits at the ordinary grade.
Free plan and trialFNothing free on record: no free plan and no trial, just a demo before you buy, and a one-time onboarding fee when you do.
FeaturesCContacts, online booking, estimates, invoices, payments, review requests, social posts, a client portal and email follow-ups. That covers a local business's customer side, but no sales pipeline is on record, and payroll and Marketing Center are add-ons.
Ease of useCNo App Store rating on record. It's sold after a demo with an onboarding fee, which tells you it isn't a sign-up-and-go tool.
Platforms and integrationsBWeb, plus an app for iPhone and iPad, with QuickBooks, Google, Mailchimp, Jotform, Facebook and payments through Stripe, PayPal or Square. There's no Android app for Business Center and no desktop app.
Grade point averageWeak, out of 4.01.8

An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.

Who Thryv is for

  • Great if you run bookings, invoices and reviews for a local service business from an iPhone
  • Handy when you'd like Thryv to look after your listings and ads as well
  • Good for owners who'd rather be shown around in a demo than set things up alone

Who it is not for

  • Skip it if you want to see a price before talking to sales, as none could be confirmed
  • Not for you if your team is on Android, since Business Center's app is iPhone and iPad only
  • Too light for a sales team that needs a deal pipeline, which isn't on record

Good to know

Good for

  • Local service businesses that want booking, invoicing and a CRM in one account
  • Owners who manage appointments and invoices from an iPhone
  • Businesses that also want Thryv to run their listings and ads

Worth knowing

  • Thryv's website turned our reader away, so no prices are recorded here; its Business Center page sells the software after a demo, with a one-time onboarding fee.
  • The Starter, Signature and Custom plans on Thryv's pricing page are its marketing services (listings, websites, reviews and Boosts), not the software described here.
  • Payroll (Workforce Center) and marketing tools (Marketing Center) are sold as add-ons to Business Center.
  • The Business Center app is on the App Store for iPhone and iPad; ThryvPay is the only Thryv app on Google Play's US store.

Part 04 · Standing

Where it stands

Its grades against its category, and whether to keep it or make your own

0/48

Other CRM tools it is graded above

Thryv's GPA of 1.8 is higher than 0 of the 48 other CRM tools we grade, and level with 2.

It stands best on platforms and integrations (B, above 5 of 48) and worst on free plan and trial (F, above 0).

Each grade against the category

Every bar is all 49 CRM tools we grade, cut by the letter each got. Thryv’s own letter is outlined.

  • CValue for moneyAbove 18 of 48

  • CEase of useAbove 1 of 48
  • BPlatforms and integrationsAbove 5 of 48

Keep it, or make your own?

Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.

Keep it

To replace Thryv you would be making newsletters sent to thousands of people that still reach the inbox. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.

That makes this kind of software worth paying for, not this one in particular: 46 of the 48 other CRM tools grade higher.

What you could make

  • Appointment booking, invoicing, quotes and estimates and review collection: an app builder makes these well.

What you could not

  • Newsletters sent to thousands of people that still reach the inbox.
  • Email sent in volume that still reaches the inbox.
  • A real app for iOS. Something home-made would be a web page.
  • It plugs into other products, QuickBooks, Google and Mailchimp among them.

What this rests on. Thryv’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
