One email signature design for the whole team, kept up to date from one place.
Before you choose, here are 7 things to know about email signature tools, worked out from every one we grade.
- 1
We grade 10 email signature tools
5 of them are free or have a free plan, and 5 more let you try before paying. Everything in this guide comes from their own pages and our grades.
- 2
Paid plans start at $2.33 a month in the middle
From $0.90 (Exclaimer) to $58.75 (Rocketseed), going by what each one's paid plans start at.
- 3
Best value: Opensense and Exclaimer
Nothing on our chart scores higher than these without costing more.
- 4
0 of 10 have iPhone and Android apps
10 run in a web browser and 1 have a Windows app. Check the one you need before you fall for anything.
- 5
The middle GPA is 2.4
0 score 3.0 or higher. The highest is Exclaimer, at 2.6.
- 6
Best free option: Newoldstamp
Newoldstamp has the highest GPA of the free ones, 2.6. Email signatures priced by the number of signatures, with banners.
- 7
6 worth keeping, 0 you could make
By our keep-or-make rules, 6 do something you couldn't reasonably build yourself, 0 are simple enough to make with an AI app builder, and 4 are a close call.
Part 02 · Top three
Our top three
The three we'd look at first, and who each one suits
The three email signature tools we'd look at first. First place suits the most people; second and third are the best picks for the people it leaves out. Each has an Insider's Guide of its own.

2.6GPAExclaimer
Free trial · from $0.90/mo
For: Companies of 10 or more on Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace
Exclaimer runs signatures for every mailbox from one web portal and, on every plan, adds them on the server as mail leaves, phones included, or in Outlook and Gmail as people type. Details sync from Entra ID or Google Directory, and disclaimers go on every email. Starter is $0.90 a user a month billed yearly. Know the limits: licensing has a 10-user minimum, so the floor is $9 a month; Starter gives the whole company one template and one banner; reports, CRM targeting and HR sync need Pro at $1.75; and there is no free plan, only a 14-day trial.
The Exclaimer Insider’s Guide2nd
2.6GPANewoldstamp
Free plan · from $54/yr
For: Teams under 10 people, and single senders
Newoldstamp has one paid plan priced by how many signatures you need: $54 a year for one, $109 for 5 and $219 for 10, each with department designs, banners, clicks and impressions by department, and deployment through Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 or Exchange. A free generator makes a simple signature with Newoldstamp branding. It is second because from 10 people it costs more than Exclaimer, its listing names no server-side option for mail sent from phones, prices are yearly only, the 7-day trial won't let you use what you build, and signatures stop working when the subscription ends.
The Newoldstamp Insider’s Guide3rd
2.4GPAWiseStamp
Free plan · from $9/mo
For: One person who wants a free signature on Gmail or Outlook.com
WiseStamp's free plan gives one person one signature on personal webmail such as Gmail or Outlook.com, on the standard template with a WiseStamp line under it. It installs through a Chrome extension, an Outlook add-in or desktop apps for Mac and Windows, and company plans sync staff from Google Workspace or Microsoft Entra. It is third because the free plan won't work on a company domain, Pro+ is $9 a month billed yearly for one person, banners start on Grow at $49 plus $1 a person, server-side signatures need Platform at $189 plus seats, and its pricing FAQ says there is no free version while its help centre describes one.

Part 05 · Keep or make
Keep or make?
Which are worth paying for, and which you could make yourself
0
Simple enough to make yourself, of 10
Some software does something you couldn’t reasonably build yourself. Some is simple enough that an AI app builder could make the core of it in an afternoon. Here’s where email signature tools land, by the same rules for every tool.
6
Keep it
It does something you could not reasonably make for yourself, or it costs nothing.
4
Your call
You could make the core of it, and you would give something up.
0
You could make this
What it does is the kind of thing an AI app builder makes well, and it charges every month.
