Value for money
CPlus is $7.99 a month paid yearly, $9.99 monthly, which is the dear end for reading apps. It buys 2,500 feeds, 5-minute updates, the dashboard and rules and filters. Slack, Zapier and team sharing need Professional at $14.99 per user, and API access is Enterprise only.
CPro is $6.99 a month billed annually, or $8.99 monthly, and that's what it takes to get search, notes and highlights. Most reading apps charge less. Newsletters, RSS Builder and Feedly AI need Pro+ at $12.37 a month, yearly billing only, which is well past the dear end here.
Free plan and trial
A200 feeds for free, with no ads, across the web reader, the browser extension and the phone apps. Newsletters, YouTube, Reddit and Google Alerts all count as sources. Most people could stay here. The trade-offs are 30-minute updates, 50 posts of history per feed and 2 AI summaries a day.
BFree on the web and in the phone apps, with up to 100 feeds. That's plenty of feeds for most people. But you get just 3 folders to sort them into, and there's no search, notes or highlights without paying.
Features
BIt follows RSS, YouTube, Reddit, Mastodon, Bluesky, Google Alerts and email newsletters on every plan, and AI summaries cite their sources. Paid plans add keyword filters, rules and a dashboard. Good at watching things. There's no read-later list, highlighting or notes on record, though.
AFeeds from news sites, blogs, YouTube channels, podcasts and Reddit, with boards for saving articles. Pro adds search, notes and highlights. Pro+ adds AI Feeds that track topics across the web, mute filters, deduplication, newsletters in your reader and feeds built for sites with no RSS.
Ease of use
A4.67 from about 1,000 App Store ratings. The browser extension sits behind a toolbar icon, shows the unread count and opens new posts directly. Not much to learn there.
A4.64 from about 26,000 App Store ratings. Follow a few sources, drop them in folders and read. There's nothing more to it until you start on the AI filters.
Platforms and integrations
AWeb, iPhone and Android, plus extensions for Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Yandex. Professional posts to Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord and Telegram and has webhooks and Zapier. There's no desktop app outside the browser, and the API is Enterprise only.
AWeb, iPhone and Android, with Chrome and Firefox extensions. Pro saves to Evernote and OneNote and shares to LinkedIn, Buffer, IFTTT and Zapier. There's no desktop app, and API access, Slack and Microsoft Teams are Enterprise only.

Key features

Feeder

Sources beyond RSS
Every plan follows RSS feeds, YouTube, Reddit, Mastodon, Bluesky, Google Alerts, Google News and email newsletters. Telegram, Google Calendar and RSS built from HTML pages start on Plus.
Tiered update speed
Feeds are checked as often as every 30 minutes on Free, every 5 minutes on Plus and every minute on Professional and Enterprise.
Filters, rules and notifications
Keyword and time-of-day filters decide which posts appear and which trigger an alert. Rules, filters and email notifications start on Plus; mobile push notifications are on every plan.
AI summaries and AI Feeds
Feeder summarizes an article with its sources cited and builds a feed for a site that publishes none. Free allows 2 summaries a day and 3 AI feeds, and each higher plan raises both limits.
Browser extension
Extensions for Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Yandex put feeds behind a toolbar icon that shows the unread count and opens new posts directly.
Team sharing and integrations
Professional adds team members with permissions, shared feeds and folders, public dashboards, and posting to Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord and Telegram, along with webhooks and Zapier.

Feedly

Feeds and folders
Follow news sites, blogs, publications, YouTube channels, podcasts and Reddit feeds in one reader. The free plan allows 100 feeds in 3 folders.
Boards, notes and highlights
Save articles to personal boards to come back to later. Adding notes and highlighting sentences is part of the Pro plan.
Search
Search across the sources you follow to find an article again. Search is listed as a Pro feature on the pricing page.
Feedly AI
On Pro+, Feedly AI Feeds track topics across the web, mute filters hide unwanted subjects and deduplication removes repeated stories.
Newsletters and RSS Builder
Pro+ can receive email newsletters and Google News feeds inside Feedly, and RSS Builder creates feeds for websites that do not offer RSS.
Sharing and team tools
Pro saves to Evernote and OneNote and shares to LinkedIn, Buffer, IFTTT and Zapier. Enterprise adds team boards, newsletters, Slack and Microsoft Teams.
