Zero-knowledge encryption

Files are end-to-end encrypted before leaving the device and split into fragments, so a server holds only encrypted shards. Plans also list post-quantum encryption.

Open source and audited

Internxt publishes its code on GitHub and states that the platform was independently audited by the penetration testing company Securitum.

Backup and sharing

Paid plans back up a computer and share files with password protection. Premium and Ultimate add invitations to collaborate and file versioning.

Bundled privacy tools

Connected clouds and one search

Paid plans connect Dropbox, Google Drive and OneDrive accounts so their files can be browsed and searched next to Koofr storage. The limit runs from 9 to 30 connections, depending on the tier.

Two-way sync and network drive

Desktop apps for Windows, macOS and Linux sync chosen folders in both directions and can map Koofr as a network drive. Storage can also be reached over WebDAV and with rclone.

Koofr Vault

An open source, client-side encrypted folder with zero-knowledge keys, included on every plan. It is used through a web app and iOS and Android apps, and is compatible with rclone.

Sharing and receive links

Files are shared with other Koofr users or through public links, and receive links collect files from anyone. Paid plans lift the 10-link caps and allow permanent links.

Office for the web

Paid accounts can create, view and edit Word, Excel and PowerPoint files in the browser, and edit shared documents together with other Koofr users in real time.

No tracking, EU hosting

Koofr states that it uses no third-party tracking tools, no ads and no cookies apart from the login cookie. Servers are in ISO 27001 certified data centers in Germany.
