Koofr

Connected clouds and one search

Paid plans connect Dropbox, Google Drive and OneDrive accounts so their files can be browsed and searched next to Koofr storage. The limit runs from 9 to 30 connections, depending on the tier.

Two-way sync and network drive

Desktop apps for Windows, macOS and Linux sync chosen folders in both directions and can map Koofr as a network drive. Storage can also be reached over WebDAV and with rclone.

Koofr Vault

An open source, client-side encrypted folder with zero-knowledge keys, included on every plan. It is used through a web app and iOS and Android apps, and is compatible with rclone.

Sharing and receive links

Files are shared with other Koofr users or through public links, and receive links collect files from anyone. Paid plans lift the 10-link caps and allow permanent links.

Office for the web

Paid accounts can create, view and edit Word, Excel and PowerPoint files in the browser, and edit shared documents together with other Koofr users in real time.

No tracking, EU hosting

Koofr states that it uses no third-party tracking tools, no ads and no cookies apart from the login cookie. Servers are in ISO 27001 certified data centers in Germany.

A desktop app for Windows, macOS and Linux that makes cloud files available as if they were stored locally, without using hard drive space.

Backup and file history

The desktop app backs up folders from a computer, and backups can also be pulled from Dropbox, Google Drive, Google Photos, OneDrive and Facebook.

Sharing and shared folders

Files and folders are shared by link or through shared folders with access levels. Business adds branded links carrying a logo, cover and message.

pCloud Encryption add-on

Optional client-side, zero-knowledge encryption adds a Crypto folder to the account. It is priced separately at $49.99 billed yearly.

Choice of data region

Account holders choose whether their files are stored in a European or a US data center.

Media player, Photos and Docs

Includes an audio and video player, a photo timeline with a built-in editor, and pCloud Docs for creating and editing documents.
