Value for money
CLite is $12 a month on yearly billing ($15 monthly) for 8,000 credits, the middle of its video rivals from Pika's $8 to Luma's $25. But the page doesn't say what a second of video costs, Lite is personal use only, and commercial work starts at Standard for $28.
DStarter is $25 a month on yearly billing ($29 monthly), the dearest start among its listed rivals: invideo at $10, Runway and LTX Studio at $12, Synthesia at $18 and HeyGen at $24. It buys 2,400 video minutes a year of stock-footage editing, but only about 12.5 minutes of generated video.

Features
BScript to storyboard to pitch deck, Lightricks' LTX models plus Veo, Kling and Seedance, camera and keyframe control, saved characters and locations, a timeline with sound, and node-based Flows. The whole job, from idea to rough cut.
CScript, blog link, PDF or slides into a narrated video with stock footage, text-based editing of recordings, ElevenLabs voices and brand kits. It does that job fully, but it's a smaller one: generated footage is about 12.5 minutes a year on Starter.
Ease of use
CNo app-store rating on record. It's a whole production workflow of script, boards, shots and timeline, so there's more to learn than typing one prompt.

Worth knowing

LTX Studio

  • The free plan's 800 credits are a one-time grant, and Free and Lite carry a personal-use license; commercial use starts at Standard.
  • The pricing page does not say how many credits a second of video costs on each model.
  • LTX Studio runs in a desktop browser only; the site says there is no mobile app.
  • Refunds are usually given within 14 days of payment if no more than 1,200 credits were used.

Pictory

  • Generated footage is limited: Starter's 1,200 yearly AI credits make about 12.5 minutes of AI video; most minutes are stock-footage edits.
  • Paid subscriptions are not refunded; cancelling only stops the next renewal.
  • Monthly billing gives fewer AI credits: Professional includes 500 a month when billed monthly against 12,000 a year when billed annually.
  • The trial exports at up to 720p and allows 15 video minutes.
