Value for money
ALifetime Pro is $59.99 once, which is less than a year of a typical planner at about $8 a month. The US App Store also lists Pro subscriptions at $4.99 and $29.99, without saying which period each covers, and one-time feature packs from $9.99.
BWe can't pin it down. The US App Store lists Premium at seven amounts from $4.99 to $79.99 without saying what period each covers, and the vendor's site has no prices. Lifetime is $119.99, more than a year of a typical planner. A B is where we put a price we can't read.
Free plan and trial
BIt's free to download and use for everyday planning, with a limited set of features. Which ones are held back? The terms don't say. Pro starts with a free trial, though the site doesn't give its length.
BFree to download on every platform, with a 7-day trial of Premium. But the store listing only says some features require Premium, without naming them. So we can't tell you how far free goes.
Features
ATime-blocked activities with their own repeat rules, tasks inside each block or calendar event with subtasks, tags and reminders, and a Day Summary that suggests new slots for whatever slipped. Widgets, Live Activities and a Mac menu bar Command Bar too.
AA split view where tasks become time blocks by dragging, intervals from 5 to 60 minutes, Schedule Shift for late days, rollover of unfinished tasks into free slots, a bucket for tasks with a date but no time, templates for routines, and calendar import and export. That's time blocking, fully.
Ease of use
BNo App Store rating on record, so a B is our ceiling. There's no sign-up at all: your data stays on the device and syncs through your own iCloud. On the Mac, a global shortcut captures a task from any app.
A4.6 from about 1,900 App Store ratings. Everything is drag and drop: pull a task into a slot, stretch it if it'll take longer, drag it back to the list if it won't happen today.
Platforms and integrations
CiPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch, with Apple Calendar and Apple Shortcuts hooked in. All Apple, though. There's no Windows, Android or web version.
AiPhone, iPad, Mac, Android, Windows and the web. It imports from Apple Calendar, Google and Outlook and sends its schedule back. Two-way Apple Reminders sync and the Apple Watch app show only on the App Store listing, not the Google Play one.

Key features

SuperPlanner

Activities on a timeline
The day is laid out as time-blocked activities with custom repetition rules, different times by day of week, icons and colors, next to events from the calendars on the device.
Tasks inside activities and events
Tasks are added to the activity or calendar event they belong to, with priorities, lists, sections, subtasks, tags, reminders and image attachments.
Day Summary
A horizontal timeline shows what is happening now, what is overdue, anytime tasks and what comes next, with quick suggestions for rescheduling tasks that slipped.
iCloud sync without an account
There is no sign-up and no vendor server. Data is stored on the device and synced across iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch through the user's iCloud account.
Widgets and Live Activities
Widgets show activities, tasks and suggested next tasks, and a Live Activity counts down the current activity in the Dynamic Island and on the Lock Screen.
Mac menu bar and Apple Watch
On the Mac a global shortcut opens a Command Bar from the menu bar to search tasks or capture one from any app. The watch app shows the timeline with current and overdue items.

TimeFinder

Split view with drag and drop
Task lists and the schedule sit side by side, and a task becomes a time block when it is dragged into a slot. It can be dragged back to a list the same way.
Flexible time blocks
The day can be planned in 5, 10, 15, 30 or 60-minute intervals, and blocks are stretched, shrunk and rearranged by dragging.
Schedule Shift and task rollover
Schedule Shift moves tasks earlier or later in one tap when the day runs late, and rollover carries unfinished tasks into available time slots.
Task bucket
A task can be committed to a date without being tied to a time slot, then placed on the schedule once the day takes shape.
Calendar and Reminders sync
Imports events from Apple Calendar, Google and Outlook and exports the TimeFinder schedule back. The Apple apps also sync both ways with Apple Reminders.
Schedule templates and color palettes
Routines can be saved as templates and reapplied. Task labels remember their colors, and palettes can be chosen from presets or built in a palette editor.
