Best for question research from Reddit and Quora

QuestionDB is a web tool that collects the questions people ask about a topic from Google, People Also Ask, Reddit and Quora, with volume, difficulty and CPC on paid plans. The free plan stops at 5 searches a month with no figures or exports. There's no API, integration or yearly price, and the dearer plans only add searches, from $9.99 for 100 to $69.99 for 1,000.

Who QuestionDB is for

  • Fits if you write FAQ sections and want the questions people ask on Reddit and Quora
  • Works for a writer doing up to 100 question searches a month on Solo at $9.99

Who QuestionDB is not for

  • Tight if you're staying free, at 5 searches a month with no volume, difficulty or exports
  • Skip it if you want keyword data in other tools, as there's no API or integration on record
  • Not for you if you like paying yearly for a discount, as only monthly prices are listed
  • Too light for rank tracking or competitor research, which it doesn't do
  • Watch out: the paid plans differ only in searches, so heavy use means $29.99 or $69.99 a month

Why QuestionDB gets a 2.4

Five grades, each with its reason. The GPA is their average: an A is 4 points, an F is none.

  • BValue for moneySolo is $9.99 a month for 100 searches, inside this category's cheapest quarter, with volume, difficulty, CPC and exports. The bigger plans only add searches: 400 for $29.99, 1,000 for $69.99. There's no yearly option.
  • CFree plan and trialA free plan with no card, but just 5 searches a month, and no volume, difficulty or exports. Fine for a look, not for real work.
  • CFeaturesQuestions from Google, People Also Ask, Reddit and Quora, with volume, difficulty and CPC on paid plans, plus AI outlines and meta descriptions. It does question research fully, but that's a smaller job, with no rank tracking or competitor data.
  • BEase of useNo rating on record, but nothing to set up. Type a topic, pick a country and language, and the questions come back.
  • CPlatforms and integrationsWeb only. No desktop or phone app, and no integrations or API on record, so results leave as a CSV file or an image.

Keep QuestionDB, or make your own?

Keep it

To replace QuestionDB you would be making search volumes for millions of keywords, gathered and kept up to date. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.

It costs $119.88 a year.

What you could not

  • Search volumes for millions of keywords, gathered and kept up to date.
  • AI features, unless you pay a model provider for each request yourself.

What this rests on. QuestionDB’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
