Worth knowing
CCleaner
- Performance Optimizer, Driver Updater, software updates, automatic cleaning and the complete Health Check all need a paid plan.
- CCleaner Professional is sold as an annual subscription, not a one-time license, and the Pro plan covers a single PC.
- The site prices by visitor location. The US dollar prices here come from a copy of the plans page archived on May 11, 2026.
- The PC app needs Windows 8 or later and excludes S mode and RT editions.
UniGetUI
- It is a front end only: packages come from third-party managers, and the vendor advises reviewing sources and publishers before installing.
- Built for Windows 10 and 11 first. The macOS and Linux builds come from GitHub Releases and load a different set of package managers.
- The vendor says some antivirus software may flag the installer because it bundles several package managers.
- The README warns that wingetui.com and unigetui.com are unofficial third-party sites; the official page is on devolutions.net.
Key features
CCleaner
- Junk and browser cleaning
- Removes unused files and deletes browsing data, cookies and trackers from the major browsers. Standard cleaning and privacy protection are in the free version.
- Health Check
- Analyzes the PC, recommends quick fixes and then tries to tune and update it. The free version has a basic Health Check and paid plans the complete one.
- Performance Optimizer
- A paid feature aimed at a PC's speed and battery life. The vendor's pages describe temporarily freezing apps while you are not using them.
- Driver Updater and Software Updater
- Paid plans update out-of-date hardware drivers and installed apps, the latter to close security holes in old software.
- Registry Cleaner and startup control
- Clears errors and broken settings from the Windows registry and lets you disable programs that run when the computer starts.
- Cloud Drive Cleaner
- Scans Microsoft OneDrive and Google Drive for duplicates and large or old files, shows how much space can be freed and lets you choose what to delete. Paid plans only.
UniGetUI
- One window for many package managers
- Windows builds load WinGet, Scoop, Chocolatey, PowerShell, npm, Bun, pip, Cargo, .NET Tool and vcpkg, so software can be installed, updated and removed without the command line.
- Package discovery and details
- Search and filter packages across the supported managers and check a package's metadata before installing it, including the publisher, download size and direct download URL.
- Bulk operations and per-package options
- Select several packages to install, update or uninstall in one batch. Custom install switches, an older version or a forced architecture can be saved for each package.
- Automatic updates and scheduling
- Updates packages automatically or notifies you from the system tray, with per-package skips, and can schedule update checks, update installs and backups daily or weekly.
- Export, backup and restore
- Exports package lists with their install parameters for import on another machine, and backs up the installed set to a local file or a secret GitHub Gist.
- Command line and automation API
- The app can be driven from the command line or from scripts through a local automation API, and a portable mode keeps settings beside the executable.
