Best for live sales webinars on a budget

WebinarJam is built for selling through live webinars: sign-up pages you can split test, email and text reminders, pop-up offers mid-session and automatic replays. Starter covers 100 attendees for $39 a month billed yearly, the cheapest 100-seat room among its rivals. But Starter sessions stop at an hour, and automated webinars need Basic.

Who WebinarJam is for

  • Great if you sell courses or coaching through live webinars
  • Handy when you want reminders, offers and replays in one place
  • Good for Kartra users who'd like webinars from the same company

Who WebinarJam is not for

  • Tight if your webinars run past an hour, which is Starter's limit
  • Skip it if you want to try it without handing over a card, as the trial is $1
  • Not for you if you need to run two webinars at the same time in one account

Why WebinarJam gets a 2.2

Five grades, each with its reason. The GPA is their average: an A is 4 points, an F is none.

  • BValue for moneyStarter is $39 a month billed annually ($49 by the month) for up to 100 attendees. That's the cheapest 100-seat room among the webinar tools it's up against, about half what Demio and Zoom Webinars charge. Sessions are capped at 1 hour, though.
  • DFree plan and trialNo free plan. The 14-day trial costs $1, so it needs a card, though it's generous: 500 attendees, 2 hosts and 2-hour webinars. Paid plans have a 30-day money-back guarantee.
  • CFeaturesSign-up pages with split tests, email and SMS reminders, timed offers, polls, a whiteboard, video injections and broadcasts to Facebook and YouTube. The gaps: sessions top out at 4 hours even on Enterprise, and Starter has no EverWebinar for automated webinars.
  • CEase of useNo App Store rating on record. There's a page builder with templates, but you'll be building sign-up pages, reminder sequences and offers before the first webinar.
  • BPlatforms and integrationsWeb only, with no desktop or phone app listed, but it connects to Kartra, ActiveCampaign, AWeber, Keap, GetResponse, Mailchimp, Twilio and Zapier.

Keep WebinarJam, or make your own?

Keep it

To replace WebinarJam you would be making live video to hundreds of people at once. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.

It costs $468 a year.

What you could not

  • Live video to hundreds of people at once.
  • Splitting visitors between versions and telling you which won.
  • It plugs into other products, Kartra, ActiveCampaign and AWeber among them.
  • People on the other end: live sessions. No app builder makes those.

What this rests on. WebinarJam’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
