Crowdcast report card

2.2GPA

Fair · out of 4.0 · graded Oct 18, 2026

Best for creator events, classes and summits

Crowdcast gives each live event one page for sign-up, the session and the replay, which is about as simple as webinars get. It's for creators and communities: interviews, classes and online summits, with tickets sold through Stripe. Lite is $49 a month for 100 live attendees, but it counts streaming hours, and multistreaming starts on Pro.

Who Crowdcast is for

  • Great if you run live interviews, classes or community calls
  • Handy when you sell tickets to a live course or an online summit
  • Good for hosts who want the replay waiting at the same link

Who Crowdcast is not for

  • Tight if you go live a lot, since Lite has 10 hours a month and extra time is $20 per 5 hours
  • Pricey if you sell tickets on Lite, with a 5% Crowdcast fee on top of Stripe's
  • Skip it if you want automated webinars that run without you

Why Crowdcast gets a 2.2

Five grades, each with its reason. The GPA is their average: an A is 4 points, an F is none.

  • CValue for moneyLite is $49 a month billed monthly for 100 live attendees and 10 hours, right at the category's middle. Annual billing is labelled 30% off, but the listing gives no yearly figure. Against its rivals it sits between WebinarJam's Starter and Demio's Growth.
  • CFree plan and trialNo free plan, but a 14-day free trial with all features, limited to 10 live attendees and 60-minute sessions. The listing doesn't say whether it wants a card.
  • CFeaturesRegistration, the live room, chat, Q&A, replays, tickets, multi-session events and RTMP input. The gaps: no automated webinars on record, multistreaming and captions start on Pro, and sessions stop at 2 hours on Lite.
  • CEase of useNo App Store rating on record. One page per event keeps it simple, but you still set up tickets and sessions and keep an eye on streaming hours.
  • BPlatforms and integrationsWeb only, with no desktop or phone app listed. It connects to Stripe and Zapier, streams to Facebook, YouTube and Twitch, and takes feeds from OBS, Wirecast or Ecamm.

Keep Crowdcast, or make your own?

Keep it

To replace Crowdcast you would be making live video to hundreds of people at once. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.

It costs $588 a year.

What you could not

  • Live video to hundreds of people at once.
  • One live stream sent to several platforms at once.
  • Selling tickets and checking them at the door.
  • It plugs into other products, Stripe, Zapier and Facebook among them.
  • People on the other end: live sessions. No app builder makes those.

What this rests on. Crowdcast’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
