How we grade them
| 2.6GPAMammouthGood | 3.8GPAPoeExcellent | |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | BStarter is $10 a month if you pay for the year, or $12 monthly. That's about the going rate for an AI assistant, and here it covers models from several makers at once. Usage is rationed though, with quotas that renew every 3 hours, and the dollar prices leave out VAT. | AThe entry plan is $4.99 a month, or $49.99 a year, on the US App Store. That's well under what paid assistants usually start at, and it opens models from many labs with 10 thousand points a day. The next step up, 660 thousand points a month, is $19.99. |
| Free plan and trial | FNothing is free. There's no free plan, and the pricing page lists no trial either, so finding out whether you like it costs at least one month at $12. | BYou can chat on a free account, with a smaller points allowance than subscribers get. But Poe's plans page doesn't say how many points that is, so we can't tell you how far free goes. No A without the number. |
| Features | AText models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral, xAI and DeepSeek, web and deep research, image, video and music generators, voice chat, and custom assistants that keep your instructions and files. Every plan includes API credits and a coding tool too. | AModels from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and other labs on one sign-in, and several bots can answer in the same thread so you can compare. It makes images and video with generators like FLUX and Veo, searches the web, and lets you build and share your own bots with a knowledge base. |
| Ease of use | BIt opens in a browser, and resending a prompt to another model is one click. There's no App Store app, so we have no rating on record to show how people get on with it. That stops it at a B. | A4.7 from about 53,800 App Store ratings. Pick a bot and start typing. The one thing to get your head round is points, since every chat draws on the same pool. |
| Platforms and integrations | BWeb and an Android app, with connectors for Microsoft 365, GitHub, Notion and Atlassian, and an API. But it isn't in the App Store: on iPhone, Mac and Windows you install it from the browser as a web app. | AWeb, Mac, Windows, iPhone and Android. There's an OpenAI-compatible API that reaches hundreds of models with one key, and subscribers spend their existing points on it. It plugs into coding tools like Cursor, Cline and Continue. |

Worth knowing
Mammouth
- There is no free plan, and the pricing page lists no free trial.
- Usage is limited per session and quotas renew after 3 hours. At a model's limit Mammouth switches to a lighter model.
- There is no App Store app: on iPhone, Mac and Windows it installs from the browser as a web app. Android has a Play Store listing.
- Prices are shown in euros or US dollars depending on the visitor's country, and dollar prices exclude VAT. Paying by bank transfer needs an annual commitment.
Poe
- Usage is metered in compute points, from 10 thousand a day on the lowest plan to 8.25 million a month on the highest; add-on points are sold separately.
- Prices vary by region: the plans page says the final price depends on regional taxes and currency conversion.
- The plans page does not say how many points a free account receives.
- US dollar prices here cover the two lowest plans, as listed on the US App Store; the three larger plans were shown only in rupees.
Key features
Mammouth

- One plan covers text models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral, xAI, DeepSeek and others, with Perplexity for web and deep research. The default model in each category can be reordered.
- One-click reprompting
- Send a prompt, along with the conversation history, to another model to compare or complement the answer without retyping it or opening a new chat.
