ChatOn
Multi-model AI chatbot app with image tools and web search
What is ChatOn?
ChatOn is a consumer AI chatbot from AIBY Inc. for the web, iPhone and Android. It puts models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and Perplexity behind one subscription and adds image generation and editing, photo-to-video, document summaries and web search. A free plan covers basic chat; the advanced models and most tools need Premium, whose prices appear in the app stores and inside the web app but not on the website.
ChatOn has a free plan. Paid plans start at $6.99 per week, or $59.99 per year (US App Store). See every plan
Good for
- Casual users who want several AI models in one phone app
- Quick captions, emails and summaries from ready-made prompts
- People who want chat and image generation under one subscription
Worth knowing
- The website lists no prices; they are shown in the app stores and in the web app before purchase, and may vary outside the US.
- The free plan is limited to basic chat: advanced models, web search, uploads and image generation all need Premium.
- Vendor pages disagree on the free plan's model: the plan table says GPT-5.6, while the FAQ says GPT-4o mini.
- The US App Store lists the iOS app as iPhone only.
Key features
- Several models in one chat
- Premium opens GPT-5, GPT-4o, o4-mini, Claude Sonnet 5, Gemini 3.5 Flash and Perplexity Sonar, and the model can be switched to suit the task.
- Real-time web search
- Questions can be answered from current web results through Perplexity Sonar and Sonar Pro. Web search is a Premium feature.
- Image generation and Pic Transformer
- Creates images from a description, edits existing ones in the chat, restyles an uploaded photo with preset looks, and turns a photo into a short video.
- Doc Master
- Summarizes, rewrites, translates and answers questions about PDF, DOC, TXT and EPUB files. Text in a photo can be extracted with OCR and brought into the chat.
- Writing tones and ready-made prompts
- Replies can be set to tones such as Professional, Friendly or Persuasive, and a prompt library covers captions, emails, resumes, travel plans and similar everyday tasks.
- Web and mobile sync
- A single purchase applies across the web app and the iOS and Android apps, so the subscription does not need to be bought again on another device.
