Best for an AI agent that proposes ASO and review changes

Appeeky is an ASO and growth tool built around an AI agent that reads your store, ad and revenue data each day and proposes changes for you to approve, and it tracks whether ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity mention your app. Startup is $20 a month but only on yearly billing, $250 up front with no refunds. The plan card says unlimited keywords, while the table caps Startup at 100 tracked keyword cells.

Who Appeeky is for

  • Fits if you're an indie developer who wants ASO, ads and reviews watched in one place
  • Works for teams that would rather approve suggested store changes than write them

Who Appeeky is not for

  • Watch out: the plan cards say unlimited apps and keywords, but the table caps Startup at 20 apps and 100 keyword cells
  • Watch out: only yearly prices are shown, the page calls the saving both 13% and two months free, and payments aren't refunded
  • Not for you if you want to try it on your own app first, as there's no trial, only a demo account
  • Tight if you lean on the agent, since Startup runs it on 3 apps with 200 AI credits a month that don't roll over
  • Skip it if several people need access, as multi-user team access is on the custom Organization plan

Why Appeeky gets a 2.0

Five grades, each with its reason. The GPA is their average: an A is 4 points, an F is none.

  • CValue for moneyStartup is $20 a month, sold only as $250 a year, between this category's cheaper quarter ($10) and its dearer quarter ($49). Agentic Scale is $66 a month, or $790 a year.
  • FFree plan and trialNo free plan and no trial. The free account only shows the dashboard with a demo app and sample data, and payments are non-refundable under its terms.
  • BFeaturesKeyword searches and tracking, ASO audits, rival ASO analysis, AI visibility in chat answers, Apple, Meta and TikTok ads data and RevenueCat revenue. It covers the whole job, though Startup tracks 100 keyword cells and runs the agent on 3 apps.
  • CEase of useNo rating on record. You connect App Store Connect, Google Play and ad accounts before the agent has much to work with, and AI work runs on monthly credits.
  • BPlatforms and integrationsWeb, a Mac app and an iPhone app, with an MCP server, a REST API and links to App Store Connect, Play Console, Apple Ads, Meta, TikTok, RevenueCat, Slack and Notion. No Android or Windows app.

Keep Appeeky, or make your own?

Keep it

To replace Appeeky you would be making keyword rankings and popularity scores from both app stores, gathered every day. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.

That makes this kind of software worth paying for, not this one in particular: 25 of the 42 other app store optimization tools grade higher. It costs $240 a year.

What you could not

  • Keyword rankings and popularity scores from both app stores, gathered every day.
  • Search volumes for millions of keywords, gathered and kept up to date.
  • An AI agent, with the models and the safeguards behind it.
  • Daily checks of where your pages rank in search results.
  • The same prompts asked of ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google's AI answers every day, and the answers kept.
  • Apps for macOS and iOS that stay in step with each other.
  • It plugs into other products, App Store Connect, Google Play Console and Apple Ads among them, and has an API.
  • Hooks into the device itself: widgets.
  • The depth: we grade its features B, which means it covers the whole job.

What this rests on. Appeeky’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
