How we grade them
| 3.0GPABillettoVery good | 2.8GPATitoGood | |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | BBuyers pay by default, so you keep the ticket price. Billetto charges in euros: 3.99% + €0.90 a ticket plus VAT, €339.60 on 200 €20 tickets, with no separate card fee listed. You can absorb it instead, and the Growth plan, for 1,000+ tickets a year, can bring it down. | B3% of each paid ticket, so 200 tickets at $20 costs you $120 a month, with Stripe or PayPal fees on top that we haven't counted. You pay it, since Tito won't add it for buyers, and it's billed in euros. Still one of the cheapest here at this size. |
| Free plan and trial | ANo monthly or setup fee on either plan, with the marketplace, email and text campaigns included. Essential covers up to 1,000 tickets a year, and above that Growth still has no monthly fee, with the ticket fee agreed case by case. | ANo subscription or setup fee, and every feature is included whatever you sell. Free events cost nothing, so a meetup that never charges never pays a thing. |
| Features | BSeating charts, memberships, early bird tickets, email and text campaigns, check-in by zone and entrance, a point-of-sale system, and ads on Google and Meta you pay for only when tickets sell. Money before the event needs the Growth plan. | CEmbedded checkout, waitlists, secret and invoice tickets, discount codes, pages in 15 languages and check-in apps cover a conference well. But there's no reserved seating or selling at the door on record, and the fee can't be passed to buyers. |
| Ease of use | CNo App Store rating on record. An AI helper drafts event descriptions and suggests prices, but there are pages and tickets to build, and selling at the door needs an Adyen card terminal at €199. | CNo App Store rating on record. You connect Stripe or PayPal and build an event page, and putting the checkout on your own site takes a snippet of code: easy for developers, less so for everyone else. |
| Platforms and integrations | BWeb, iPhone and Android, with Adyen, PayPal, MobilePay, Vipps, Apple Pay and Google Pay, a public API and webhooks. But it runs only in 14 European countries, not the US, and there's no desktop app. | BWeb, plus iPhone and Android check-in apps, with Stripe, PayPal, Google Tag Manager, Facebook, webhooks and a full read and write API. No desktop app, which an A needs. |
| Best for | European events that want help selling | tech conferences and meetups |
