Worth knowing
Meta Muse
- Meta says Muse is rolling out in the US, and that Muse and its subscriptions are in limited testing and not available in all locations.
- The size of the free allowance is not published in the help article; Power and Max are capped at 500M and 3B Muse tokens a week.
- A Meta account is required, and subscribers must be 18 or the age of majority in their country.
- The App Store lists the iOS app as iPhone only, requiring iOS 18 or later; the only desktop download offered is for macOS.
Poke
- Poke has no app of its own: it works through Apple Messages, WhatsApp, Telegram or RCS, with settings managed on the website.
- Email support covers Gmail and Outlook only; Poke says it has no immediate plans for iCloud or Yahoo Mail.
- The Free plan has a small usage allowance, and background automations and frontier models start at Pro.
- Poke Human is included only with Ultra at $199 a month, and expenses paid on your behalf are deducted from your credit balance.
Key features
Meta Muse
- Muse Secure VM
- Each user gets a persistent, isolated Linux computer in the cloud with a full browser, shared with the agent, and can step in at any point while a task runs.
- Goals and background work
- Given a goal, Muse builds an action plan, tracks progress and takes on tasks along the way. It keeps working after the app is closed and returns when it needs approval.
- Connectors and self-built tools
- Connects to email, calendar, Instagram and other apps, with the level of access set by the user. If a task needs a tool that does not exist, Muse builds one.
- Approvals and audit trail
- Asks before sensitive actions such as sending an email or making a purchase, with options to allow once, always allow or deny, and keeps a record of what it has done and plans to do.
- Purchases through Link
- Checks out with Link, built by Stripe, using a one-time card number so the merchant and the agent never see the real card. Eligible purchases carry Link's purchase protections.
- Mobile, Mac, web and WhatsApp
- Conversations work like messaging a person, in the mobile app, on muse.ai or directly in WhatsApp. The Mac app also works with local files, apps and browser tabs.
Poke
- Works inside messaging apps
- You use Poke by texting it in Apple Messages, WhatsApp, Telegram or RCS, including by voice message, and you can choose which channel it texts you on.
- Email and calendar
- Reads, searches and drafts email and schedules meetings, with full support for Gmail and Outlook inboxes, calendars and contact sync.
- Recipes
- Recipes set up integrations and automations in one step and can be shared with others. The directory covers apps such as Notion, GitHub, Linear and Oura.
- Reminders and proactive updates
- Creates reminders and gets a head start on tasks from a text, then draws on connected services and its memory to message you when something needs attention.
- Custom integrations and API
- Developers can add custom integrations through MCP servers, and the Poke API lets scripts, webhooks and other tools send messages to your assistant.
- Poke Human
- On Ultra, real-world tasks such as restaurant reservations, phone calls and orders are dispatched to a person, who sees only the details needed for that task.
