How we grade them

Value for money
C$3.99 a month on yearly billing is the dear end of this category, where the middle plan is $2.99 and Bitwarden Premium is $1.65 with a free plan that may be all you need. Families at $5.99 for five people is the one real bargain, about $1.20 each.
BTeams is $1.66 a user a month paid yearly, inside the cheap end of this category, for up to 20 people with unlimited passwords and sharing. Single sign-on, Active Directory, the API and the admin controls need Business at $4.50, the dear end.
Free plan and trial
CThere's no free plan, only 14 days on any plan, no card needed. In a category where Bitwarden, Proton Pass, Apple and Google all give you a password manager for good, two weeks is thin.
CNo free plan and no plan for individuals, but a 28-day free trial with no credit card. That's long enough to move a small team over before anyone pays.
Features
BIt covers the lot: autofill for logins, cards and two-factor codes, passkeys, Watchtower alerts for leaked passwords, sharing by a link that expires, shared vaults and a command-line tool for developers. Nothing the category expects is missing. Nothing here is beyond its free rivals either.
CZero-knowledge encryption, sharing with people and teams, one-time shares with outsiders, built-in TOTP codes and password history. The gap the listing names is autofill: the only extension is for Chrome, with Firefox and Edge coming soon, and there's no Android app.
Ease of use
B4.67 from about 42,000 App Store ratings, a shade under our top mark. Reviewers who moved from version 7 to 8 found it harder, and some say autofill misses or it asks for the main password far too often.
CNo rating on record. It's a team tool, so someone sets up the account, the teams and the sharing first. Autofill only works in Chrome and on iPhone; anywhere else you're in the web app.
Platforms and integrations
AMac, Windows, Linux, iPhone, Android and Apple Watch, with extensions for Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox and Brave. Business plans plug into Okta, Entra ID, OneLogin and Duo.
BWeb, iPhone and a Chrome extension, with sign-in through Google, Microsoft or Active Directory, YubiKey support and an API on Business. No desktop or Android app, and Firefox and Edge are still to come.
