Who each one suits

Agenta

  • Teams that want to self-host their agent platform under an MIT license
  • Paying by usage for a whole team instead of per seat
  • Recurring jobs such as research briefs, code review and reports

LobeHub

  • People who want several agents working on scheduled tasks in the cloud
  • Reaching agents from Slack, Discord, Telegram or WhatsApp
  • Developers who want to self-deploy an agent workspace and use their own API keys

Worth knowing

Agenta

  • AI model costs are not included: you connect your own provider credentials and pay the provider directly.
  • The Hobby plan stops running agents after 5,000 runs in a month and allows 2 team members and 20 evaluations a month.
  • On Agenta Cloud, SSO and role-based access control start at Business ($299 a month); audit logs and custom domains are Enterprise only.
  • Running agents on a Claude or ChatGPT subscription works only on a self-hosted deployment, not on Agenta Cloud.

LobeHub

  • Cloud usage is metered in credits that reset monthly; the Free plan's 500,000 credits are about 70 messages on GLM-5.3-Flash.
  • GPT-6 Astra, Claude Opus 5.5 and Kimi K3 are marked Subscription required on the Free plan.
  • The docs note that the desktop app is not fully offline: cloud models, sync and online tools still need a connection.
  • The code uses the LobeHub Community License, based on Apache 2.0: distributing a derivative work needs a commercial license.

Key features

Agenta

Agents built by chatting
You describe the job in chat and refine the agent's instructions and skills as you go. Prebuilt templates cover engineering, support, sales, knowledge and operations.
Automations and triggers
An agent can run on a schedule or start when an event happens in a connected tool, such as a new pull request. Every run is logged with its duration and estimated cost.
Integrations, MCP and skills
Agents work across more than 1,000 integrations and any MCP server you add. Skills are reusable instruction files that can be swapped without rewriting the agent.
Harness and model choice
Three harnesses ship with it: Claude Code, Pi and Codex. Models come from your own provider accounts, including OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Mistral, AWS Bedrock and Azure OpenAI.
Permissions, approvals and a secret vault
You decide which actions run automatically, which wait for approval and which are blocked. Credentials sit in a vault the agent can use but cannot read.
Tracing, evaluations and versions
Each run produces a trace of its model and tool calls, tokens and latency. Agent changes are versioned and can be compared, and evaluations include LLM-as-a-judge.

LobeHub

Agent Builder
Describe the agent you need in a sentence and its name, role, skills and behavior are set up automatically, ready to use or to adjust.
Agent Groups
Several agents work on one task as a team: the system picks the agents for the job, runs them in parallel and iterates on the result.
Skills and MCP marketplaces
Agents are connected to skills and MCP servers from community marketplaces. The homepage counts more than 334,000 skills and 106,000 MCP servers.
Messaging channels
The docs cover channels for Slack, Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp, WeChat, iMessage, LINE, Lark, Feishu and QQ, so agents answer in the chat apps you already use.
Pages, schedules and projects
Pages are documents written with several agents in a shared context, scheduled tasks run agents at set times, and projects keep related work together.
Personal memory
Agents build a structured memory of how you work that you can read and edit. Agent Memory is listed on the Starter plan and above.
