How we grade them

3.2GPADashlaneVery good2.8GPALastPassGood
Value for money
CPremium is $5.42 a month, billed annually, where password managers typically start at about $2.99. You do get a VPN and scam protection for that. The better deal is Friends & Family: 10 accounts for $8.13 a month.
C$36 a year mostly buys what Bitwarden and Proton Pass give away: your passwords on phone and laptop together. Families at $4 a month for six is the better deal.
Free plan and trial
CNo free plan on the personal pricing page, only a 14-day trial of Premium. The listing doesn't say whether the trial wants a card. Several rivals are free for good, so this is thin.
BUnlimited passwords for nothing, and it never runs out. But you get one device type: computers or phones, not both. Bitwarden and Proton Pass have no such rule.
Features
AUnlimited passwords and passkeys with autofill, alerts for weak or leaked passwords, Dark Web Monitoring, AI scam protection that flags phishing pages before you type, a VPN and 1GB of encrypted storage.
APasskeys, sharing, emergency access, breach alerts and 1 GB for files, plus single sign-on on the business plans. On paper, nothing's missing.
Ease of use
A4.8 from about 107,000 App Store ratings. It fills your logins in without typing and syncs across as many devices as you like on Premium.
C4.4 from about 57,000 App Store ratings, the lowest of the big names here. The gripes repeat: autofill getting in the way, and being logged out again and again.
Platforms and integrations
AWeb, iPhone, Android and a browser extension. The Omnix business plans plug into Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace and Duo for single sign-on.
BWindows, Mac, iPhone, Android, Apple Watch, the web and five browsers. Linux only gets the browser extensions. Business plans plug into Okta and Google Workspace.
