|---|---|---|
| Value for money | APro is $2.99 a month billed annually, so $35.88 a year, in a category where paid plans usually start around $19. And you pay per account, not per run, so a busy Applet costs the same as a quiet one. Pro+ with unlimited Applets is $8.99. | APro is $9 a month billed annually, or $12 monthly, for 5,000 tasks, unlimited workflows and AI Agents. That's well under what most automation tools start at. Business doubles the tasks for $19, and there are one-time lifetime plans from $499. |
| Free plan and trial | BFree forever with unlimited runs, which is kind. But you get 2 Applets, at standard speeds, and multi-action Applets and Webhooks aren't part of it. Two automations and you're done. | B250 tasks a month and 20 workflows for nothing is a decent start. But the Free plan has no schedules, filters, delays, loops or AI Agents, and keeps run history for 3 days. Simple workflows only, then. |
| Features | BMore than 1,000 services, from Google Sheets and Slack to Philips Hue and Ring, plus published Applets you just switch on. Pro adds multi-action Applets and Webhooks, and Pro+ adds queries and filter code. It's made for trigger-and-action jobs, though, and Pro stops at 20 Applets. | AA drag-and-drop canvas, workflows drafted from a prompt, AI Agents, an MCP server on every plan, steps that wait for a person to approve, and built-in tables and forms. The WordPress plugin puts it all inside your site's admin area. Branches and paths need Business. |
| Ease of use | A4.6 from nearly 60,000 App Store ratings. Pick a published Applet and switch it on, or describe what you want and Chat Create builds it from your prompt. Nobody needs to draw a flowchart. | BLay a workflow out on the canvas, describe it in a prompt, or import a ready-made recipe in one click. A failed run can be replayed from the history. There's no rating on record to go by, so a B. |
| Platforms and integrations | AWeb, iPhone and Android, and the phone apps add triggers like your location, photos and notifications. It connects to more than 1,000 services, with Webhooks on Pro for anything that isn't listed and an MCP server for AI tools. | BA web app with a WordPress plugin, more than 1,500 app connections, and an MCP server that links it to tools such as Claude Desktop and Cursor. The listing shows no phone or desktop app. |
| Best for | simple automations for apps and smart homes | automating a WordPress or WooCommerce site |

Who each one suits
IFTTT
- Personal and smart-home automations with one trigger and one action
- People who prefer switching on ready-made automations to building them
- A low-cost paid plan priced per account rather than per run
OttoKit
- WordPress and WooCommerce site owners automating plugins and orders
- Agencies that keep each client's workflows in a separate workspace
- Buyers who would pay once for lifetime access over a subscription
Worth knowing
IFTTT
- The Free plan allows only 2 Applets, and Pro stops at 20.
- Multi-action Applets and Webhooks need Pro; queries, filter code and AI services need Pro+.
- Free Applets run at standard speeds; the fastest speeds are reserved for paid plans.
- IFTTT's terms say it offers no refunds or credits, and subscriptions renew automatically.
OttoKit
- The Free plan has 250 tasks a month and leaves out AI Agents, schedules, filters, delays, loops and the formatter.
- Branches, paths, API integration and Human in the Loop start on the Business plan, according to the comparison table.
- Run history is kept for 3 days on Free, 15 days on Pro and 30 days on Business and Business Plus.
- Pro is limited to 1 workspace and 5 WordPress connections.
Key features
IFTTT
- Applets
- An Applet links a trigger in one service to an action in another. Published Applets can be switched on as they are, or you can build your own.
- 1,000+ services
- IFTTT lists more than 1,000 services, from apps such as Google Sheets, Slack and Notion to smart-home brands such as Philips Hue, Ring and LIFX.
- Multi-action Applets and Webhooks
- Pro and Pro+ Applets can run several actions from one trigger and can use Webhooks to reach services IFTTT does not list. Neither is part of the Free plan.
- Queries and filter code
- Pro+ adds queries and filter code to Applets and lets you connect more than one account for the same service.
- Chat Create and MCP
- Chat Create builds an automation from a written prompt, and the IFTTT MCP server connects AI tools to your services and automations. AI services inside Applets need Pro+.
- Mobile apps
- The iOS and Android apps create and manage Applets and add device triggers such as location, photos and notifications. Mobile access is included on the Free plan.
OttoKit
- Visual workflow builder
- Multi-step workflows are laid out on a drag-and-drop canvas, or drafted from a written prompt. Schedules, filters, delays and loops start on Pro; branches and paths start on Business.
- AI Agents and MCP server
- Agents make decisions inside a workflow and act across connected apps. An MCP server, included on every plan, links OttoKit to AI tools such as Claude Desktop and Cursor.
- Human in the Loop
- A workflow can stop until a person reviews, edits or approves the next step. The plan comparison lists it from the Business plan up.
- WordPress plugin
- A connector plugin ties WordPress and WooCommerce sites to OttoKit, shows the OttoKit interface inside the WordPress admin area, and can automate actions between several sites.
- Tables and Forms
- Tables are a built-in database for leads, orders and other workflow data. Forms are public and write submissions straight into a table, with rows and form counts set by plan.
- Recipes, logs and replay
- Pre-built workflow templates, called recipes, import in one click. Every run is logged, and a failed run can be replayed from the history.
