How we grade them

Value for money
D$57 a month for three on Starter, billed yearly ($19 a head, $35 monthly), for unlimited documents but only 5 templates. What you'd pick PandaDoc for, pricing tables, auto reminders and analytics, needs Business: $147 a month for three, four times this category's middle.
B$36 a month for three, at $12 a head billed yearly ($19 monthly), for unlimited proposals on its one plan. Against its own rivals that's cheap: Better Proposals Premium is $21 a head, and PandaDoc's pricing tables need Business at $49.
Free plan and trial
CFree eSign covers 5 documents a month, 2 recipients each and 5 templates, with no integrations. Fine for a freelancer now and then; a team sending 20 a month is past it in the first week. The 14-day Business trial allows 50 documents.
CNo free plan, but a 14-day free trial that needs no card, with the full set of proposal features.
Features
CThe editor, Word import, Stripe payments and, on Business, quotes, pricing tables, approvals and analytics. That's a lot. But bulk send, forms and recipient verification are add-ons priced through sales, where plain signing apps include them.
CTemplates, variables, an interactive pricing module, AI writing, open and read tracking, reminders, expiry dates and passwords. It does the proposal job fully, but that's a smaller job than general signing: its feature list names two signers per proposal.
Ease of use
CThere's an iPhone app but no store rating on record. The editor does a lot, and there's real setting up before it pays off: templates, pricing tables and a content library to build.
CNo store rating on record. It's a web editor where the work is building the proposal itself, so expect some setting up, though the 100+ templates give you a head start.
Platforms and integrations
BWeb and iPhone, with HubSpot, Pipedrive, Microsoft Dynamics, Stripe, QuickBooks, Slack and Canva, Salesforce as an add-on, an API and links to ChatGPT and Claude. No Android or desktop app is listed.
BWeb only, with Stripe, QuickBooks, FreshBooks, Xero, Slack and Monday.com, and more through Zapier and Make. No phone or desktop app.
