How we grade them
| 2.6GPADocusignGood | 2.4GPAProsperoFair | |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | D$75 a month for three on Standard, paying the year upfront ($25 a head, or $30 on the annual plan billed monthly). That's this category's dearest tenth, for 100 envelopes each a year, so your 240 fit with a little to spare. Web forms, payments and bulk send need Business Pro at $40. | B$36 a month for three, at $12 a head billed yearly ($19 monthly), for unlimited proposals on its one plan. Against its own rivals that's cheap: Better Proposals Premium is $21 a head, and PandaDoc's pricing tables need Business at $49. |
| Free plan and trial | CNo free plan, but a 30-day free trial, and the listing doesn't say it needs a card. After that even Personal is one user and 5 envelopes a month. | CNo free plan, but a 14-day free trial that needs no card, with the full set of proposal features. |
| Features | BTemplates, signing order, an audit trail, reminders and AI summaries for signers, then web forms, payment collection and bulk send on Business Pro. It covers the whole job. SSO, HIPAA and Salesforce wait for the custom Enhanced plans, which a small team won't miss. | CTemplates, variables, an interactive pricing module, AI writing, open and read tracking, reminders, expiry dates and passwords. It does the proposal job fully, but that's a smaller job than general signing: its feature list names two signers per proposal. |
| Ease of use | A4.9 from about 830,000 App Store ratings, the biggest following in this category by miles. Signers don't need an account either, which saves your clients a step. | CNo store rating on record. It's a web editor where the work is building the proposal itself, so expect some setting up, though the 100+ templates give you a head start. |
| Platforms and integrations | BWeb, iPhone and Android, with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Dropbox and Box on every plan, and 1,000+ integrations plus the API from Business Pro. There's no desktop app, so it stops at a B. | BWeb only, with Stripe, QuickBooks, FreshBooks, Xero, Slack and Monday.com, and more through Zapier and Make. No phone or desktop app. |
| Best for | signing with the name every client knows | cheap proposals for freelancers and small agencies |
