How we grade them

|---|---|---|
| Value for money | DOne is $30 a month billed annually, annual only, for a single licence with 1 session at a time and 10 unattended agents. Past that, Standard is $47 per concurrent tech. For one technician doing the same job that's dearer than Zoho Assist or Splashtop, and many integrations cost extra on top. | D$619.99 a year for Business, one licensed user and up to 200 managed devices, is the only dollar price on record: it's the in-app purchase on the US App Store. For one technician doing the same job, Zoho Assist, Splashtop and LogMeIn Resolve's Starter all cost less. Its other plans couldn't be read in dollars. |
| Free plan and trial | CNo free plan, but there's a free trial that needs no card. ScreenConnect doesn't say how long it lasts. | BFree for personal use, with no cap on record for helping friends and family or reaching your own computers, phones and tablets. That's a plan one person can live on. Any work use needs a licence, which you can trial for 14 days. |
| Features | BOn-demand and unattended sessions, Backstage for fixing a machine silently in the background, a toolbox of scripts, a remote command line, session recording, two-factor sign-in and an on-premises option. Nothing in the listing is missing from the support job. | CAttended and unattended access, file transfer, remote printing, Wake-on-LAN, black screen, session recording and AI summaries. The gaps it lists itself: phones and tablets need a paid add-on, iPhones and iPads only share their screen, and Business allows one connection at a time. |
| Ease of use | CNo App Store rating on record. It's built for IT pros: agents to deploy, a toolbox of scripts, roles and permissions to set up. Expect a learning curve if you're not one. | B4.67 from 44,790 App Store ratings, just short of our A line. The person at the other end accepts and you're in, so there's not much to learn. |
| Platforms and integrations | BWindows, Mac, Linux, iPhone and Android, with ConnectWise PSA, Automate, Zendesk, Freshdesk and Acronis. Many of those are paid add-ons, and there's no web app on record. | AWeb, Windows, Mac, Linux, iPhone and Android, with an API and connections to Intune, ServiceNow, Jira, Salesforce, Zendesk, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet. That's everything we look for. |
| Best for | MSPs supporting many client businesses | helping family for free, or paid IT support |

Worth knowing
ScreenConnect
- Pricing is per concurrent technician, so each person connecting at the same time needs a licence.
- The One plan is a single licence limited to 1 session and 10 unattended agents, and is sold annually only.
- Remote Access licences need at least 25 agents and do not include on-demand support sessions.
- Many integrations, such as ConnectWise PSA, Zendesk and Freshdesk, are listed as paid add-ons.
TeamViewer
- TeamViewer's website shows prices by visitor location and could not be read in US dollars; Remote Access, Premium and Corporate prices are missing here.
- The free version is for personal use only; any business or work use needs a paid licence, which TeamViewer offers to trial for 14 days.
- Licences are billed yearly and cap the number of managed devices and simultaneous connections, e.g. one connection at a time on Business.
- Supporting phones and tablets is a paid add-on; for iPhones and iPads it is screen sharing rather than control.
