Who each one suits
Littlebird
- People who want an assistant that already knows what they were working on
- Meeting notes without a recording bot in the call
- Scheduled briefings drawn from your own email, calendar and documents
Poke
- People who would rather text an assistant than open another app
- Handling email, calendar and reminders from a message thread
- Developers who want to add their own tools through MCP
Worth knowing
Littlebird
- Context is captured only by the Mac and Windows apps, and Windows is in beta. The iOS and Android apps are companions that need the desktop app.
- The memory it builds is encrypted but stored in the vendor's AWS cloud rather than only on your computer.
- The Basic plan has daily usage credits and limited meeting notes; image generation and usage packs start at Plus.
- Vendor pages disagree on Littlebird MCP: the pricing page lists it under Plus, while the MCP page's FAQ says Power and above.
Poke
- Poke has no app of its own: it works through Apple Messages, WhatsApp, Telegram or RCS, with settings managed on the website.
- Email support covers Gmail and Outlook only; Poke says it has no immediate plans for iCloud or Yahoo Mail.
- The Free plan has a small usage allowance, and background automations and frontier models start at Pro.
- Poke Human is included only with Ultra at $199 a month, and expenses paid on your behalf are deducted from your credit balance.
Key features
Littlebird
- Context from your screen
- The desktop app reads the text and elements of your active window every few seconds and builds an encrypted index. The vendor says it takes no screenshots or video and logs no keystrokes.
- Chat
- Ask about anything you have seen or worked on and get answers and drafts grounded in that history. A Max mode handles longer multi-step reasoning, and chats can be shared or archived.
- Meeting Notes
- Transcribes and summarizes calls from your computer's audio with no bot joining, in 10+ languages, with action items and decisions. Basic is limited; Plus and above are unlimited.
- Routines
- A saved prompt that runs daily, weekly or monthly at a set time and sends back the result, such as a morning briefing or a weekly project recap.
- Hover
- A double-tap of the Option key opens Littlebird over whatever app you are in, so you can ask a question without switching windows. The vendor lists it as Mac-only for now.
- Integrations and MCP
- Hundreds of optional connectors, including Gmail, Google Calendar and Outlook, let it search and act in other tools. An MCP server exposes your memory to clients such as Claude and Cursor.
Poke
- Works inside messaging apps
- You use Poke by texting it in Apple Messages, WhatsApp, Telegram or RCS, including by voice message, and you can choose which channel it texts you on.
- Email and calendar
- Reads, searches and drafts email and schedules meetings, with full support for Gmail and Outlook inboxes, calendars and contact sync.
- Recipes
- Recipes set up integrations and automations in one step and can be shared with others. The directory covers apps such as Notion, GitHub, Linear and Oura.
- Reminders and proactive updates
- Creates reminders and gets a head start on tasks from a text, then draws on connected services and its memory to message you when something needs attention.
- Custom integrations and API
- Developers can add custom integrations through MCP servers, and the Poke API lets scripts, webhooks and other tools send messages to your assistant.
- Poke Human
- On Ultra, real-world tasks such as restaurant reservations, phone calls and orders are dispatched to a person, who sees only the details needed for that task.
