Breezy HR
Flat-priced applicant tracking with a free one-job plan
Our verdict
Second of our top three hiring and applicant tracking tools
For: Teams hiring for one role at a time who want to pay nothing
Breezy HR's free Bootstrap plan gives unlimited users one open job or candidate pool at a time, with a careers site, posting to 50+ job boards and resume parsing. Startup is a flat $157 a month billed annually ($189 monthly) for unlimited jobs and users, and adds questionnaires, stage automations, self-scheduling and the phone apps. Its iPhone and iPad app averages 4.6 from about 340 ratings. It is second because the free plan shows only candidates added in the last 30 days, which a slow hire runs into, and a second open role costs more than ten times Manatal's price for one user.

Best for small teams hiring on one flat price
Breezy is a full applicant tracker sold at one flat monthly price, however many of your team log in. There's a free plan for one open job and a 14-day trial with no card. The catch is the jump: once you're hiring for two roles at once, it's $157 a month on yearly billing.
Who Breezy HR is for
- Great if your whole team wants to log in without paying per seat
- Handy when you hire for one role at a time and want to start free
- Good for US employers that need EEOC and OFCCP reports
Who Breezy HR is not for
- Tight if you hire slowly on the free plan, as it only shows candidates from the last 30 days
- Pricey if you need assessment links and offer approvals, which start on Business at $439 a month
- Skip it if you want to get your data out, as export is only on the quoted Custom Pro plan
Why Breezy HR gets a 2.6
Five grades, each with its reason. The GPA is their average: an A is 4 points, an F is none.
- CValue for moneyStartup is $157 a month on yearly billing ($189 monthly), and since users are unlimited, that's what a ten-person company pays. It buys unlimited jobs, screening questions, stage automations and self-scheduling. That's level with the dearer quarter of this category, so no bargain.
- CFree plan and trialThe free Bootstrap plan gives unlimited users one open job at a time, with a careers site and 50+ job boards. But it only shows candidates added in the last 30 days, which a slow hire will run into. There's a 14-day trial with no card too.
- BFeaturesCareers site, 50+ job boards, screening questions, stage automations and video interviews, then scorecards, reference checks and offers with approvals on higher plans. That's the whole hiring job, though the API and data export sit on a quoted plan.
- BEase of use4.6 from 344 App Store ratings. You'll still set up a careers site and your pipeline stages before the first applicant lands.
- BPlatforms and integrationsWeb, iPhone and Android, with Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, Slack, Google Workspace and Office 365 linked. No desktop app, and API access is only an option on the quoted Custom Pro plan.

Keep Breezy HR, or make your own?
Keep it
To replace Breezy HR you would be making jobs posted to dozens of job boards at once, which takes an agreement with each board. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.
It is one of the better ones too: its GPA of 2.6 is higher than 12 of the 14 other hiring and applicant tracking tools we grade. It costs $1,884 a year.
What you could make
- Applicant tracking and reports: an app builder makes these well.
What you could not
- Jobs posted to dozens of job boards at once, which takes an agreement with each board.
- Connections to other products, each kept working as those products change.
- A real app for iOS and Android. Something home-made would be a web page.
- AI features, unless you pay a model provider for each request yourself.
- The depth: we grade its features B, which means it covers the whole job.
What this rests on. Breezy HR’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
