Our verdict

First of our top three inventory management tools

For: Most small businesses selling in a shop and online

Zoho Inventory keeps stock in sync with Amazon, eBay, Etsy, Shopify and WooCommerce across several locations, with sales and purchase orders, backorders, dropshipping and shipping labels, and links to Zoho Books, QuickBooks Online and Xero. Standard is $29 a month billed yearly ($39 monthly) for 500 orders a month, 3 users, 2 locations and one Shopify store, and the free plan covers 50 orders a month for 1 user. It runs on the web, Windows, iPhone and Android, and its iPhone and iPad app averages 4.75 from about 1,000 ratings. Know the limits: barcodes, stock counts and serial and batch tracking start on Premium at $79 a month billed yearly, and there is no production planning for makers.

Zoho Inventory report card

3.4GPA

Very good · out of 4.0 · graded Oct 18, 2026

Best for small online sellers on a budget

Zoho Inventory is the cheap, capable pick for a small business selling in a shop and online: Standard is $29 a month billed yearly for 500 orders, 3 users, 2 locations and a Shopify store. It syncs with Amazon, eBay, Etsy and Shopify and prints shipping labels. The catch is that barcodes, stock counts and batch tracking start on Premium.

Who Zoho Inventory is for

  • Great if you sell on Amazon, eBay, Etsy or Shopify and want stock kept in sync cheaply
  • Handy when you already run Zoho Books or Zoho CRM
  • Good for tiny shops that want to start on a free plan

Who Zoho Inventory is not for

  • Tight if you need barcodes or stock counts, which start on Premium at $79 a month
  • Not for you if you make products from raw materials, as there are composite items but no production planning
  • Skip it if you run several Shopify stores and want Standard's price, as it connects just one

Why Zoho Inventory gets a 3.4

Five grades, each with its reason. The GPA is their average: an A is 4 points, an F is none.

  • AValue for moneyStandard covers a shop plus an online store at $29 a month billed yearly ($39 monthly): 500 orders a month, 3 users, 2 locations and 1 Shopify store. That's well under what this category usually charges, though barcodes and stock counts need Premium at $79.
  • CFree plan and trialFree for 50 orders a month, 1 user and 1 location, with composite items, dropshipping and one Shopify store. Fine for a side hustle, but a shop and an online store will pass 50 orders a month quickly, and there are no barcodes.
  • BFeaturesMarketplace and store sync, several warehouses with bins, sales and purchase orders, backorders, dropshipping, shipping labels, and barcodes with serial and batch tracking. That's the whole job, though barcodes, stock counts and batches start on Premium.
  • AEase of use4.75 from 1,029 App Store ratings, just into the top band. It also works with Zoho Books and Zoho CRM if you already use them.
  • APlatforms and integrationsWeb, Windows, iPhone and Android, with Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Etsy, Shopify, WooCommerce, Zoho Books, QuickBooks Online, Xero and carriers like UPS, USPS and FedEx. That's the full spread.

Keep Zoho Inventory, or make your own?

Keep it

To replace Zoho Inventory you would be making discounted carrier rates and labels, which take an agreement with each carrier. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.

It is one of the better ones too: its GPA of 3.4 is higher than 11 of the 11 other inventory management tools we grade. It costs $348 a year.

What you could make

  • Inventory: an app builder makes this well.

What you could not

  • Discounted carrier rates and labels, which take an agreement with each carrier.
  • Checkout, card payments and sales tax handled for you.
  • Scanning barcodes with a phone camera or a scanner.
  • Apps for Windows, iOS and Android that stay in step with each other.
  • It plugs into other products, Amazon, eBay and Etsy among them.
  • The depth: we grade its features B, which means it covers the whole job.

What this rests on. Zoho Inventory’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
