How we grade them

Value for money
C$19 a month, or $12 a month if you pay for the year. That's well above what a typical focus tool costs, though you are getting live hosted sessions for it. The pricing page doesn't state the yearly total you're charged.
BBasic is $1.99 or $3.99 a month on the US App Store, and Premium is $6.99, or $69.99 a year. That's about the going rate for a focus app. But neither the site nor the stores say what either tier adds, so we can't call it a bargain.
Free plan and trial
CNo free plan, but there's a 7-day trial with no credit card needed. One oddity: the homepage mentions 14 days in one spot, while the pricing page says 7.
BThe focus rooms are free to join on the web and in the apps. What we can't tell you is where free stops, because the vendor doesn't publish it. The Android app carries ads, and the App Store listing notes advertising too.
Features
BHost-led sessions with a set shape: a short intro, 50 minutes of quiet work, a recap. Plus a silent room that's always open, with a timer, a to-do list and music. Sessions come in one size, though, and that's an hour.
AVideo rooms open round the clock, Pomodoro timers, a task list, daily streaks and study partners you can pin. You can filter people by country and subject, and AI tools tidy up handwritten notes and write quiz questions. For studying alongside others, that's the lot.
Ease of use
BBook a session, turn up, say your task in 20 or 30 seconds, or skip that bit. It's low-pressure by design, and cameras can stay off. There's no rating on record to go by, so a B.
B4.4 from about 380 App Store ratings. Two Focus Rooms can be joined straight from the site, and the Do Anything room needs a sign-up.
Platforms and integrations
CA web app, and that's it. The site's main pages mention no iPhone, Android or desktop app, and it doesn't connect to anything else.
BWeb, iPhone and Android, so it follows you from laptop to phone. No integrations and no API are listed, though, and the iOS app is designed for iPhone only.

Ways to pay less

Deepwrk

  • Annual discount

Paying annually costs about 37% less

Deepwrk's pricing page lists $12 a month when paid annually against $19 a month on the monthly plan.

  • Other savings

Give a month, get a month referrals

A friend who signs up through a member's referral link gets a month free. The referrer gets a free month once that friend pays, and a free year after 10 successful referrals.

  • Other savings

UK Access to Work grant can cover the cost

Deepwrk says UK residents with ADHD can apply for the government's Access to Work grant to pay for a subscription. It is a government program, not a Deepwrk discount.

StudyStream

  • Annual discount

Annual Premium costs about 17% less than monthly

The US App Store lists Premium Monthly at $6.99 and Premium Annually at $69.99, so a year paid at once costs about 17% less than twelve monthly payments.
