How we grade them

Value for money
C$19 a month billed yearly, or $25 monthly. That's several times what a focus app costs, and coaching and courses are sold on top as FLOWN+. Students get 50% off, which changes the sum.
BBasic is $1.99 or $3.99 a month on the US App Store, and Premium is $6.99, or $69.99 a year. That's about the going rate for a focus app. But neither the site nor the stores say what either tier adds, so we can't call it a bargain.
Free plan and trial
BThe free account gets 4 Community sessions a month plus any session on a Friday. Not much if you'd come daily. There's also a 30-day trial of the full membership with no credit card.
BThe focus rooms are free to join on the web and in the apps. What we can't tell you is where free stops, because the vendor doesn't publish it. The Android app carries ads, and the App Store listing notes advertising too.
Features
AHosted Power Hours and two-hour Deep Dives, a Drop-In room open around the clock, member-run sessions and private rooms you share by link. Its own video platform has the timer, chat and music built in.
AVideo rooms open round the clock, Pomodoro timers, a task list, daily streaks and study partners you can pin. You can filter people by country and subject, and AI tools tidy up handwritten notes and write quiz questions. For studying alongside others, that's the lot.
Ease of use
BJoin from your browser, set a goal, work in silence. The Drop-In room has no timetable to learn: come and go when you like. There's no rating on record to go by, so a B.
B4.4 from about 380 App Store ratings. Two Focus Rooms can be joined straight from the site, and the Do Anything room needs a sign-up.
Platforms and integrations
CSessions are joined from a computer, in the browser. The pages we read mention no iPhone or Android app, and nothing is listed that it connects to.
BWeb, iPhone and Android, so it follows you from laptop to phone. No integrations and no API are listed, though, and the iOS app is designed for iPhone only.
