How we grade them
| 2.0GPADiviFair | 2.4GPAWebflowFair | |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | BGraded against its alternatives, Elementor and the hosted builders. Divi Lifetime is $249 once, less than two years at this category's middle price of $15 a month, or it's $89 a year, $7.42 a month, for unlimited sites. Hosting is extra, at partner hosts' own prices. | CBasic is $15 a month for one site on yearly billing ($25 monthly), right at this category's middle. That's a site with no CMS. A blog or anything built from collections needs Premium at $25, and selling needs an ecommerce plan from $29. |
| Free plan and trial | FNothing is free and there's no trial. Every plan has a 30-day no-questions refund, which is generous, but a money-back promise isn't a trial: you pay first. | CThe free Starter site is real but tiny: a webflow.io address, 2 static pages, 50 form submissions and 1 GB of bandwidth. Good for learning the tool, not for running a business. |
| Features | CA visual builder, a theme builder for headers, footers and templates, hundreds of layouts, WooCommerce modules, Divi Cloud and a site manager, with the Extra theme and two plugins thrown in. The gap is the listing's own: it needs a WordPress site, and memberships don't include hosting. | BA visual designer that writes standards-based code, a CMS with 20,000 items on Premium, hosting on Cloudflare's CDN, staging, real-time co-editing, AI and an MCP server. It covers the whole job; selling is a separate plan, not a gap. |
| Ease of use | CNo rating on record. Editing right on the live page with presets is friendly enough, but you need a self-installed WordPress site first, or a partner host selling Divi Hosting, and then there's a fair bit to learn. | CNo app store rating on record, and this is a designer's tool: you lay pages out on a canvas of boxes and styles rather than dropping words into a template. Expect a learning curve before you're quick. |
| Platforms and integrations | BRuns in the browser inside WordPress, works with WooCommerce, and partner hosts SiteGround, Pressable and Cloudways sell Divi Hosting. Divi Dash looks after all your WordPress sites in one place. No desktop or phone app. | BWeb only, but it connects to Figma, HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Analytics 4, Mailchimp and Stripe, and REST APIs manage CMS content from outside. No desktop or phone app. |
| Best for | unlimited WordPress sites on one licence | designers who want control over every layout |

Who each one suits
Divi
- Freelancers and agencies building many WordPress sites under one license
- Site owners who would rather pay once than subscribe
- WooCommerce stores that want visual control over shop pages
Webflow
- Designers and agencies building custom marketing sites without hand-coding
- Content-heavy sites that need a structured CMS and an API
- Teams that want staging, roles and publishing permissions
Worth knowing
Divi
- Divi needs a self-installed WordPress site, or WordPress.com on the Business plan, and memberships do not include hosting.
- Divi Hosting is sold through partner hosts (SiteGround, Pressable and Cloudways) at their own prices.
- There is no free plan or free trial; every plan has a 30-day no-questions refund.
- If a yearly membership is cancelled, updates and support stop after the term, though downloaded themes keep working.
Webflow
- Workspace plans are billed on top of site plans: Core is $19 and Growth $49 a month billed yearly ($28 and $60 monthly) for more staging, custom code and code export.
- Basic has no CMS, so a blog or any collection-driven pages need Premium or higher.
- Selling online needs a separate ecommerce site plan, and Standard takes a 2% fee on top of Stripe or PayPal fees.
- Support is by email with a stated 48-hour reply target; cancelling still leaves the rest of the paid term to pay.
