Value for money
CGraded against its alternatives, Divi and the hosted builders. Advanced Solo, the plan with stored forms, popups and store widgets, is $7 a month for one site, billed $84 a year. Cheap for an editor, but hosting is extra: Elementor Host is $15 a month in its first year, taking one site to about $22.
CBasic is $15 a month for one site on yearly billing ($25 monthly), right at this category's middle. That's a site with no CMS. A blog or anything built from collections needs Premium at $25, and selling needs an ecommerce plan from $29.
Free plan and trial
CThe free plugin has no time limit and builds real pages with the core widgets. But the theme builder and popups are Pro, and nothing goes live until you pay someone for hosting, since Elementor's plans don't include it.
CThe free Starter site is real but tiny: a webflow.io address, 2 static pages, 50 form submissions and 1 GB of bandwidth. Good for learning the tool, not for running a business.
Features
CVisual editing with responsive controls, a theme builder for the whole site, forms, popups, WooCommerce page design and AI on the One plans. Plenty. The gap is the one the listing names: it needs a WordPress site, and no editor plan includes hosting.
BA visual designer that writes standards-based code, a CMS with 20,000 items on Premium, hosting on Cloudflare's CDN, staging, real-time co-editing, AI and an MCP server. It covers the whole job; selling is a separate plan, not a gap.
Ease of use
CNo rating on record. The editor is drag-and-drop with global styles, but first you need WordPress running on a host, then the plugin, then Pro, so there's real setup and a learning curve. Elementor Host takes out the hosting step for another fee.
CNo app store rating on record, and this is a designer's tool: you lay pages out on a canvas of boxes and styles rather than dropping words into a template. Expect a learning curve before you're quick.
Platforms and integrations
BIt runs in the browser inside WordPress, works with WooCommerce and Google Analytics, and Elementor MCP connects sites to Claude, Codex and Cursor. No desktop or phone app is listed.
BWeb only, but it connects to Figma, HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Analytics 4, Mailchimp and Stripe, and REST APIs manage CMS content from outside. No desktop or phone app.

The GPA is the average of the five grades: an A is 4 points, an F is none. The full reasons are on each tool's page: Elementor and Webflow. How we grade

Elementor starts at $5 a month and scores 2.3 out of 4 on features, ease of use and platforms. Webflow starts at $15 a month and scores 2.7.

Who each one suits

Elementor

  • WordPress users who want to design pages visually without code
  • Freelancers and agencies building many WordPress client sites
  • WooCommerce shops that want custom product and checkout pages

Webflow

  • Designers and agencies building custom marketing sites without hand-coding
  • Content-heavy sites that need a structured CMS and an API
  • Teams that want staging, roles and publishing permissions

Worth knowing

Elementor

  • Elementor needs a WordPress site; the plugin and Pro plans do not include hosting, and Elementor Host does not include a Pro license.
  • Pro and One plans are billed annually, with no monthly option on the pricing page, and come with a 30-day money-back guarantee.
  • Essential stores no form submissions and has no popups, custom code or ecommerce widgets.
  • Elementor Host is a separate subscription, from $15 a month billed annually for one site ($180 the first year), and renews at list price.

Webflow

  • Workspace plans are billed on top of site plans: Core is $19 and Growth $49 a month billed yearly ($28 and $60 monthly) for more staging, custom code and code export.
  • Basic has no CMS, so a blog or any collection-driven pages need Premium or higher.
  • Selling online needs a separate ecommerce site plan, and Standard takes a 2% fee on top of Stripe or PayPal fees.
  • Support is by email with a stated 48-hour reply target; cancelling still leaves the rest of the paid term to pay.
