Value for money
CPoptin counts unique visitors, so 20,000 a month is past Basic's 10,000 and onto Pro: $47 a month billed yearly ($59 monthly) for 50,000 visitors on 4 domains. That's on the dear side of the middle for popup tools here.
BGraded on the popup app alone. A site with 20,000 visitors needs Pro for exit intent and 1,000 sign-ups a month: $11.87 billed yearly ($15.84 monthly), in the cheapest quarter here. But each app is priced on its own, and all of them means Business at $79.19.
Free plan and trial
CFree forever with unlimited popups, but only for 1,000 visitors a month on one domain, with Poptin branding. A tiny blog might live on it. Most sites will hit the cap quickly.
CEvery app has a free version, but the free popup stops at 25 sign-ups a month, shows POWR branding and has no exit intent. Starter at $4.83 drops the branding but keeps the 25 cap. Fine for a look, not for a real site.
Features
BBars, slide-ins, full-screen and gamified popups, embedded forms, exit intent, 15+ targeting rules, A/B tests, teasers and coupons, plus email campaigns and automated sequences on top. It covers the whole job.
CSet beside its listed alternatives, which is fairer for a library of 60+ apps: the popup has 250+ templates, coupon, survey and age-check types, and exit-intent, delay and click triggers on Pro. There's no A/B testing on record, though, and the other apps are a different job.
Ease of use
CNo rating on record. Templates get you started, but between 15+ targeting rules, triggers, A/B tests and an email builder, there's a fair bit to set up.
CNo rating on record. It installs as an app on Shopify, Wix and Squarespace or with embed code, and the editor needs no code, but you still build each popup and set its triggers.
Platforms and integrations
BWeb, with 70+ integrations including Mailchimp, Klaviyo, HubSpot, Salesforce and ActiveCampaign, plus Zapier, Make, WordPress and its own API. No desktop or phone app, so B is the top.
BWeb only, but its apps install on more than 70 platforms, including Shopify, Wix, BigCommerce, Squarespace and Joomla, and Pro syncs to Mailchimp, Google Sheets and Zapier. No desktop or phone app.
