How we grade them
| 2.4GPATildaFair | 2.4GPAWebflowFair | |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | CPersonal is $10 a month for one site on yearly billing ($15 monthly), just over this category's cheapest quarter ($9). For that you get 1,000 pages, a store of up to 5,000 products, forms, a CRM and member areas, which is a lot. | CBasic is $15 a month for one site on yearly billing ($25 monthly), right at this category's middle. That's a site with no CMS. A blog or anything built from collections needs Premium at $25, and selling needs an ecommerce plan from $29. |
| Free plan and trial | CA free site of up to 50 pages with Zero Block and the AI tools, which is decent. But it's on a Tilda subdomain, only 100 blocks are open, and forms can't collect data. | CThe free Starter site is real but tiny: a webflow.io address, 2 static pages, 50 form submissions and 1 GB of bandwidth. Good for learning the tool, not for running a business. |
| Features | BOver 600 blocks, Zero Block for free-form design and animation, AI page and text generation, a store, forms with a built-in CRM, member areas, courses and email campaigns. It covers the whole job. | BA visual designer that writes standards-based code, a CMS with 20,000 items on Premium, hosting on Cloudflare's CDN, staging, real-time co-editing, AI and an MCP server. It covers the whole job; selling is a separate plan, not a gap. |
| Ease of use | CNo app store rating on record. Stacking blocks is quick, but Zero Block has layers, breakpoints and animation steps, so the clever stuff takes some learning. | CNo app store rating on record, and this is a designer's tool: you lay pages out on a canvas of boxes and styles rather than dropping words into a template. Expect a learning curve before you're quick. |
| Platforms and integrations | BWeb only, with Stripe, PayPal, Mailchimp, SendGrid, Google Sheets and Google Analytics, plus an API on Business. No phone or desktop app. | BWeb only, but it connects to Figma, HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Analytics 4, Mailchimp and Stripe, and REST APIs manage CMS content from outside. No desktop or phone app. |
| Best for | designed pages from blocks, with room to go custom | designers who want control over every layout |

Who each one suits
Tilda
- Designers who want block-based pages with room for custom layouts and animation
- Small businesses building a landing page, store or course site in one place
- Freelancers running up to five client sites from one account
Webflow
- Designers and agencies building custom marketing sites without hand-coding
- Content-heavy sites that need a structured CMS and an API
- Teams that want staging, roles and publishing permissions
Worth knowing
Tilda
- The free plan cannot connect a custom domain, collect form submissions, embed HTML or upload custom fonts.
- Personal covers a single website; more than one site needs Business, and over five needs a larger Business plan priced in the account.
- The "Made on Tilda" label can be removed only on Personal or Business paid annually.
- Code export and the API are limited to Business. If a subscription lapses, the site is unpublished and its data is deleted after six months.
Webflow
- Workspace plans are billed on top of site plans: Core is $19 and Growth $49 a month billed yearly ($28 and $60 monthly) for more staging, custom code and code export.
- Basic has no CMS, so a blog or any collection-driven pages need Premium or higher.
- Selling online needs a separate ecommerce site plan, and Standard takes a 2% fee on top of Stripe or PayPal fees.
- Support is by email with a stated 48-hour reply target; cancelling still leaves the rest of the paid term to pay.
Key features
Tilda
- Block library
- Pages are assembled from more than 600 pre-designed blocks for covers, text, galleries, forms, pricing tables and footers. The free plan opens 100 of them.
- Zero Block editor
- A free-form design editor for making blocks from scratch, with breakpoints from 320 to 1920 pixels, auto layout, layers, a vector tool and step-by-step animation.
- AI page and text generation
- The built-in AI generates a page from a short description, writes or rewrites copy for a block or a whole page, and picks images. It is included on the free plan.
- Online store and payments
- A Product Catalog, shopping cart, promo codes, dynamic discounts and customer accounts, with payments through Stripe, PayPal and other systems on paid plans.
- Forms, quizzes and Tilda CRM
- Data collection and quiz forms send leads to more than 20 services or to the built-in CRM, which tracks a sales funnel and lead analytics.
- Members areas and online courses
- Paid plans can restrict pages to members, password-protect a site and build courses with a content editor, homework review and student statistics.
Webflow
- Visual designer
- Pages are laid out on a canvas that writes standards-based code, with code components available on Premium for developer-built or AI-generated parts.
- Webflow CMS
- Collections hold blog posts, listings and other structured content with templates for each item. Premium allows 20,000 items in 40 collections; Basic has no CMS.
- Hosting on a global CDN
- Sites publish to Webflow hosting behind Cloudflare's CDN with free SSL. Bandwidth runs from 1 GB on Starter to 50 GB on Premium, with paid steps above that.
- Workspaces and collaboration
- Workspaces hold staging sites and teammates, with real-time co-editing, comment-only links and free agency or freelancer guests. Paid Workspaces add more staging sites and roles.
- AI, MCP server and Webflow Cloud
- Webflow AI and an MCP server for outside AI tools come with every site plan, and Webflow Cloud hosts web apps next to a site, billed by requests and CPU time above the included amounts.
- APIs and add-ons
- REST APIs manage CMS content from outside Webflow. Paid add-ons cover A/B testing and personalization (Optimize, from $299 a month), analytics and localization.
