Best for small teams without an SEO specialist

xSeek tracks which companies ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini name for your questions every day, and from Starter up an agent hands you a monthly list of actions and drafts articles for you to approve. But the agent starts at $149 a month, in this category's dearest tenth, and the $49 plan only tracks. Google's AI Overviews and Copilot wait on the $499.99 plan, and there's no trial or yearly price.

Who xSeek is for

  • Fits if you have no SEO person and want a monthly list of what to do next
  • Works for sites on WordPress, Webflow, Ghost or HubSpot, where approved pages are sent

Who xSeek is not for

  • Pricey if you want the agent, which starts at $149 a month
  • Skip it if Google's AI Overviews or Copilot matter, as they need the $499.99 plan
  • Tight if you track more than 10 prompts on Essential, which has no action plan or articles
  • Watch out: there's no free plan or trial, only a one-time run of up to 15 questions
  • Watch out: billing is monthly only, and Claude, Grok and DeepSeek cost extra per website on Growth

Why xSeek gets a 1.8

Five grades, each with its reason. The GPA is their average: an A is 4 points, an F is none.

  • DValue for moneyEssential is $49 a month for 10 prompts, but it only tracks. The action plan, drafts and CMS publishing, which are the point of xSeek, start at $149, in this category's dearest tenth. Billing is monthly only.
  • DFree plan and trialNo free plan or trial. A free workspace runs up to 15 questions once and previews the action plan.
  • CFeaturesDaily tracking, an agent-written action plan with the evidence behind it, a content studio, AI crawler logs and Search Console and GA4 data. The gap is in its own listing: Google AI Overviews and Copilot start at Growth for $499.99 a month.
  • CEase of useNo rating on record. There's a plugin or CDN snippet for the crawler logs, analytics to connect and a monthly batch of actions to work through.
  • BPlatforms and integrationsWeb only, linked to Search Console, GA4, WordPress, Webflow, Ghost and HubSpot, with an API, a command-line tool and an MCP server from Starter.

Keep xSeek, or make your own?

Keep it

To replace xSeek you would be making search volumes for millions of keywords, gathered and kept up to date. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.

That makes this kind of software worth paying for, not this one in particular: 129 of the 157 other AI search visibility tools grade higher. It costs $588 a year.

What you could not

  • Search volumes for millions of keywords, gathered and kept up to date.
  • The same prompts asked of ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google's AI answers every day, and the answers kept.
  • A score built from what the top results for each keyword cover.
  • A tracking script and a database that counts every visit.
  • It plugs into other products, Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4 and WordPress among them, and has an API.

What this rests on. xSeek’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.

What is xSeek?

xSeek tracks daily which companies ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and, on higher plans, Google AI Overviews and Copilot name for a set of questions, with share of voice, sentiment, cited pages and AI crawler visits. From Starter up, an agent turns those answers into a monthly list of actions, such as writing a comparison page, replying to a Reddit thread or getting listed on a review site, and drafts the articles for you to approve and send to your CMS. Every plan has unlimited seats.

Worth knowing

  • Essential tracks only; the action plan, article drafts and CMS publishing start at Starter for $149 a month.
  • Google AI Overviews and Copilot start at Growth; Claude, Grok and DeepSeek are optional engines there, priced per website.
  • Billing is monthly only; no annual discount is shown on the pricing page.
  • The free workspace runs your questions once on ChatGPT, Perplexity and Grok; daily tracking needs a paid plan.
