Best for tracking AI answers through your buyers' eyes

RivalSee reads your site, creates customer personas and has them ask questions the way buyers would, across ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini. But data refreshes only weekly on the $69.99 plan, each extra site is $59.99, reports are public links unless you switch that off, there's no trial, and its FAQ and pricing table disagree on the starting price.

Who RivalSee is for

  • Fits if you think in customer types rather than keyword lists, and weekly data is enough
  • Works for agencies that pitch clients with co-branded reports, on the Enterprise / Agencies plan

Who RivalSee is not for

  • Skip it if you need daily numbers, as it refreshes weekly on Startup or twice a week on Pro
  • Not for you if reports must stay private without you changing a setting, as they're public links by default
  • Pricey if you run lots of sites, at $59.99 a month for each extra one, or $109.99 on Pro
  • Watch out: there's no free plan or trial, only one baseline scan with a single persona on ChatGPT and Gemini
  • Watch out: the FAQ says plans start at $59, but the pricing table shows $69.99, and no integrations or API are listed

Why RivalSee gets a 1.8

Five grades, each with its reason. The GPA is their average: an A is 4 points, an F is none.

  • CValue for moneyStartup is $69.99 a month for one site checked weekly, above this category's $49 middle. Each extra site is $59.99, and twice-weekly checks need Pro at $129.99.
  • DFree plan and trialNo free plan or trial. There's one free baseline scan with a single persona on ChatGPT and Gemini, plus a 7-day money-back guarantee.
  • CFeaturesPersonas built from your site, five engines including ChatGPT's search mode, rival win and loss analysis, cited pages and content gaps. The gap is in its own listing: data refreshes weekly on Startup and twice a week on Pro, never daily.
  • CEase of useNo rating on record. It builds the personas and questions itself, and you'll want to check them before trusting the numbers.
  • CPlatforms and integrationsWeb only, and the listing names no integrations or API. Reports go out as shareable links.

Keep RivalSee, or make your own?

Keep it

The plain part of RivalSee you could make: reports. What surrounds it you could not. The 2 things listed below take a company, not a weekend.

That makes this kind of software worth paying for, not this one in particular: 129 of the 157 other AI search visibility tools grade higher. It costs $839.88 a year.

What you could make

  • Reports: an app builder makes this well.

What you could not

  • The same prompts asked of ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google's AI answers every day, and the answers kept.
  • A score built from what the top results for each keyword cover.

What this rests on. RivalSee’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.

What is RivalSee?

RivalSee builds customer personas from a site's content, has them ask questions the way real buyers would, and runs those questions through ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini. It reports how often each model names the brand or its competitors, which pages the models cite, and what content to add to close the gaps. Plans are priced per site, and an Agency Mode adds client dashboards and co-branded reports.

Worth knowing

  • Data refreshes weekly on Startup and twice a week on Pro, not daily.
  • Reports are public, shareable links by default; paid plans can switch them to private.
  • There is no ongoing free plan; paid plans carry a 7-day money-back guarantee.
  • The homepage FAQ says plans start at $59 a month, but the pricing table shows $69.99 for the first site.
