Value for money
APro is $6 a month billed annually, or $8 monthly. That's the cheap end of a category where plans typically start at $9.99, and it buys 5 GB, unlimited libraries and 2,000 AI credits a month. Teams pay $11 a user for Business, which is where user management and access control live.
CTeam is $31 a user a month billed annually, or $36 monthly. That's about three times the $9.99 this category typically starts at. Each user does bring 50,000 records and 5 GB of storage, and Business is $49. Prices exclude VAT.
Free plan and trial
BFree forever, with unlimited entries and unlimited local libraries on your phone. The cloud side is tight, though: 100 MB, 3 cloud libraries, and 1 automation rule, 1 script and 1 chart per library. You get 200 AI credits a month.
BFree for up to 5 users with no expiry, and all six view types are in. But it stops at 5,000 records and 100 MB of storage, with 1,000 API calls a month and 7-day history. Free workflows can't send emails either.
Features
AFields run from text and dates to barcodes, signatures and GPS locations, and linked entries give you one-to-many and many-to-many relationships. You can view entries as a list, table, cards, map or calendar. Add automation rules, JavaScript, web forms and pages you can publish, and it's a lot.
ADescribe what you need and the AI helps set up the data, the interfaces and the automations. Table, form, chart, kanban, map and calendar views come on every plan. There's a script language for custom logic, documents generated from records, Gmail and Outlook mail linked to records, and a REST API.
Ease of use
A4.65 from 320 App Store ratings. There's no code to write: you pick the fields for a library, and the phone's camera, barcode scanner and GPS do some of the typing for you.
BNo App Store rating on record, so a B is as high as we go. It runs in the browser with nothing to install, and the AI builds from a plain-language description. You're still designing your own software, mind, which is more work than opening a ready-made app.
Platforms and integrations
AApps for Android, iPhone, Windows, macOS and Linux, with Zapier, Google Drive and a cloud API. Not every platform is equal, mind. Google Sheets and Google Calendar sync, Google Docs export and encrypted libraries are listed as Android only.
BBrowser only. Ninox says native iOS and Android apps are in development, so they're not here yet. It connects through Zapier, Make and n8n, links up Gmail and Outlook mail, and has a public REST API.

Key features

Memento Database

Custom libraries with linked entries
Each library is built from field types that include text, numbers, dates, files, barcodes, signatures and GPS locations. Link-to-entry fields create one-to-many and many-to-many relationships.
List, table, card, map and calendar views
Entries can be shown as a list, a spreadsheet-like table, cards, a map for location data or a calendar, then filtered, sorted, grouped and aggregated.
Offline mobile apps
The Android and iOS apps work fully offline with local or cloud libraries and sync once reconnected. They use the camera, barcode scanner and GPS for data entry.
Automation rules and JavaScript
No-code automation rules and JavaScript scripts add triggers, calculations and custom actions. The Free plan allows 1 rule and 1 script per library; paid plans are unlimited.
Web forms and published pages
Web forms collect entries from people who do not have the app. Data views can be published as web pages that are public, password-protected or restricted to specific users.
AI credits and charts
AI features draw on monthly credits: 200 on Free, 2,000 on Pro and 3,000 per user on Business, with no rollover. Charts are limited to 1 per library on the Free plan.

Ninox

AI-assisted building
Describe a need in plain language and the built-in AI helps organize the data, define business logic, build interfaces and set up automations. Each plan has its own AI usage limit.
Six view types on every plan
Table, form, chart, kanban, map and calendar views are included on all plans, the Free plan too.
Workflow automation and scripting
Event triggers and conditions run processes automatically, and a script language covers custom logic. Sending emails from workflows starts at the Team plan.
Email linked to records
Gmail and Outlook mail can be linked to Ninox records and workflows: 100 linked emails on Free and 5,000 per user on Team and Business.
Document generation
Contracts, invoices and reports are generated from records, then shared, printed or exported: 100 a month on Free, 1,000 per user on Team and 5,000 per user on Business.
REST API and connectors
A public REST API plus connections through Zapier, Make and n8n. API calls are capped at 1,000 a month on Free, 10,000 per user on Team and 50,000 per user on Business.
