How we grade them
| 2.8GPADialpadGood | 3.0GPAGrasshopperVery good | |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | C$15 a head for five on Standard, billed yearly. That's just over this category's cheaper quarter ($14), and it includes the live transcripts and AI summaries. Monthly billing jumps to $27, and CRM links need Pro at $25. | ASolo Plus is $25 a month billed yearly for unlimited users. Add two $3 extensions so all five of you get one and it's about $6.20 a head, under 60% of this category's cheaper quarter. On your own, True Solo is $14. |
| Free plan and trial | CA 14-day free trial of Dialpad Connect, and no free plan. The listing doesn't say whether the trial needs a card. | CA 7-day free trial with no credit card needed. No free plan. |
| Features | BUnlimited US and Canada calls, texting, team messaging, video meetings, phone menus with several ways to route calls, and transcripts and summaries on every call. It covers the whole job. Fax and extra numbers are add-ons. | CA local, toll-free or vanity number, a shared inbox for calls, texts and voicemail, extensions, recording with AI summaries, auto-replies and fax. It does that job fully, but it's a smaller job: no integrations, and advanced routing is on Small Business. |
| Ease of use | B4.6 from about 4,600 App Store ratings. Good, and a notch below the very best-rated phone apps here. | A4.75 from about 46,000 App Store ratings. Pick a number, install the app and the calls start ringing. |
| Platforms and integrations | AWindows and Mac apps, iPhone and Android, a web app, a Chrome extension and desk phones, plus Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Teams, Salesforce, HubSpot, Zendesk and Slack. | BMac, Windows, iPhone and Android apps, so phone and computer are covered. No web app and no integrations on record, which keeps it off the top grade. |
| Best for | calls that transcribe and summarize themselves | a second business number on your own phone |
